Stratasys' fifth annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability Report discloses company-wide 2030 environmental and safety targets and reveals the company's first climate risk analysis aligned with Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

The centerpiece of the 2025 report is a set of measurable targets for 2030:

  • Reduce water consumption by 15%
  • Divert at least 55% of non-hazardous waste to reuse, recycling or energy recovery
  • Reduce Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) below 0.40

The 2025 GHG emissions data received limited assurance from an independent third party. Together with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures or TCFD-aligned climate risk analysis, the targets move the Mindful Manufacturing commitment towards additional execution milestones. With combined measurable goals, independent validation and climate risk modeling as a single management approach, risk mitigation and responsible business management future proofs the company for impending global challenges. This approach provides all Stratasys stakeholders the proof-points for the multiple effective ways the Company manages climate-related risks and resources across its operations.

Key Terms

ghg technical
Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are air pollutants like carbon dioxide and methane that trap heat in the atmosphere, similar to how a blanket holds in body warmth. For investors, GHGs matter because companies' emissions affect regulatory costs, reputational risk, and long-term business viability as governments and consumers push for lower emissions; measuring and reducing GHGs can signal future compliance, efficiency gains, or potential liabilities.
tcfd regulatory
A framework that guides companies on reporting how climate change and related policies, physical impacts, and market shifts affect their finances and business plans. It matters to investors because consistent, comparable disclosures act like a weather forecast for financial risk—helping assess which companies face greater climate-related danger or opportunity, improving decisions about value, risk allocation, and long-term planning.
trir technical
TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) measures how often workplace injuries or illnesses that require medical attention occur, adjusted for the size and hours worked by the workforce—think of it as a company’s accident score per unit of work. Investors watch TRIR because a high rate signals operational risk, potential for higher costs, regulatory scrutiny, production disruptions, and reputational damage, while a low rate suggests safer, more reliably run operations.
gri regulatory
GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) is a set of widely used standards for how companies disclose sustainability information—environmental, social and governance practices—in a consistent way. For investors it acts like a common checklist or ingredients label, making it easier to compare companies’ non-financial risks and long-term resilience, assess transparency, and track whether promised sustainability actions are actually being carried out.
sasb regulatory
SASB stands for the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, an organization that created industry-specific guidelines for companies to report environmental, social and governance factors that are likely to affect their financial performance. Think of it as a standardized checklist that helps investors compare how well different companies manage risks like pollution, labor practices or product safety — similar to using a common recipe so you can fairly judge different cooks. Clear, consistent SASB disclosures make it easier for investors to spot hidden risks and long-term value drivers.
