TAT Technologies Reports Record Third Quarter 2026 Results

Quarterly gross margin reached 30.9%, while inventory investment reduced operating cash flow despite higher earnings.

Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Tags

TAT Technologies (TATT) reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $55.6 million, up 20.2% from the same quarter last year. Gross margin rose to 30.9% from 25.1%, while net income reached $7.7 million versus $4.8 million. Diluted earnings per share increased to $0.58 from $0.37. Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP earnings measure, rose 60.9% to $10.9 million.

Nine-month revenue increased 13.8% to $149.6 million, and net income reached $19.1 million, including a $3.4 million after-tax gain from selling its First Aviation Services investment. Quarterly operating cash flow fell to $3.8 million from $7.5 million; nine-month cash flow fell to $5.2 million from $9.4 million. TAT attributed the decline primarily to inventory investment supporting long-term agreements, including its expanded Honeywell agreement. Backlog and long-term agreements totaled approximately $577 million at September 30, 2026.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Key Terms

adjusted ebitda, diluted eps, non-gaap financial measures, mro
4 terms
adjusted ebitda financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was $10.9 million (19.6% of revenues)"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
diluted eps financial
"Diluted EPS of $0.58 compared to $0.37"
Diluted earnings per share (EPS) shows how much profit a company makes for each share of stock, assuming all possible shares from stock options or convertible securities are used. It provides a more conservative estimate than basic EPS, accounting for potential share increases that could dilute ownership. Investors use diluted EPS to get a clearer picture of a company's true profitability on a per-share basis.
non-gaap financial measures financial
"To supplement its GAAP results, the Company presents adjusted EBITDA"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
mro technical
"MRO services for aviation components"
MRO stands for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations, referring to the supplies and services companies provide to keep machinery, buildings, and infrastructure functioning smoothly. These essentials are vital for ongoing business activities, much like routine car maintenance keeps a vehicle running reliably. Investors pay attention to MRO companies because their performance reflects the health of industries that rely heavily on regular upkeep and support services.

Record Quarterly and Nine-Month Revenue, Gross Profit Margin and Adjusted EBITDA

Revenue Increases 20.2%, Adjusted EBITDA Increases 60.9% and Diluted EPS Increases 57.8%

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TAT Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: TATT) (TASE: TAT Tech), a leading supplier of products and services for the commercial and military aerospace and ground defense industries, today reported financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Igal Zamir, TAT's president and CEO, said: "TAT delivered an outstanding third quarter, with record quarterly revenue of $55.6 million and record quarterly adjusted EBITDA of $10.9 million, reflecting a record adjusted EBITDA margin of 19.6%. These results are driven by strong customer demand, an improved product mix and greater operational efficiency. Demand for our products remains strong across our core product lines, while our extended relationship with Honeywell is creating additional opportunities going forward."

"Looking forward, we enter the final quarter of 2026 with strong momentum, supported by our long-standing customer relationships, strong backlog and long-term agreements. We believe TAT is well positioned to build on its strong performance to seize future opportunities and achieve sustainable, profitable growth in the years to come," concluded Mr. Zamir.

Cash flow from operations was $5.2 million in the first nine months of 2026 compared to $9.4 million in the first nine months of 2025. The decrease was primarily attributable to an increase in inventory of $10.6 million in the third quarter and $20.5 million in the first nine months of 2026, reflecting the Company's investment in inventory to support the ramp-up of its long-term agreements, including its expanded agreement with Honeywell.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures

To supplement its GAAP results, the Company presents adjusted EBITDA, adjusted net income and adjusted earnings per share, which are non-GAAP financial measures, to provide investors with additional insight into underlying operating performance. Management uses these measures to evaluate period-to-period operating performance and believes they are useful to investors because they exclude items that are non-recurring or non-cash in nature or that do not reflect the Company's core operations. Adjusted EBITDA excludes the Company's share in results of affiliated companies, share-based compensation, income taxes, financial (expenses) income, net, gain on sale of equity investment and depreciation and amortization. Adjusted net income and adjusted earnings per share exclude the gain on sale of equity investment and the related income tax impact. These non-GAAP measures should not be considered as alternatives to net income, operating income or earnings per share for the period and may not be indicative of the historic operating results of the Company; nor are they meant to be predictive of potential future results. These measures are not measures of financial performance under generally accepted accounting principles and may not be comparable to other similarly titled measures for other companies. See reconciliations of these non-GAAP measures to the most directly comparable GAAP measures below.

FAQ

AI-generated questions and answers. How Rhea-AI works. Not financial advice.

What were TAT Technologies' third-quarter 2026 revenue and earnings?

TAT Technologies reported $55.6 million in revenue and $0.58 in diluted earnings per share for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026. Revenue increased 20.2% from $46.2 million, while diluted earnings per share rose from $0.37 in the third quarter of 2025.

Why did TAT Technologies' operating cash flow decline in 2026?

TAT attributed the operating cash flow decline primarily to inventory investment supporting the ramp-up of long-term agreements, including its expanded Honeywell agreement. Inventory increased by $10.6 million in the third quarter and $20.5 million in the first nine months of 2026.

How does TAT Technologies calculate adjusted net income and adjusted earnings per share?

TAT excludes the gain on the sale of its equity investment and the related income-tax impact when calculating adjusted net income and adjusted earnings per share. These are non-GAAP measures, not alternatives to GAAP net income or earnings per share, and may not be comparable with similarly named measures from other companies.
