Textron Aviation (NYSE:TXT) has announced a new high-speed internet connectivity option for the Cessna Citation Caravan aircraft through Starlink's satellite network. The upgrade comes after the FAA's approval of AeroMech's Supplemental Type Certificate (STC).
The Starlink system utilizes Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide reliable connectivity over land, water, and remote areas where traditional in-flight Wi-Fi may be unavailable. The upgrade can be installed at North American Textron Aviation Service Centers and select International Service Centers, featuring an Aero Terminal, Power Supply Unit, and two Wireless Access Points.
