loyalty programs financial
Loyalty programs are commercial schemes that reward repeat customers with points, discounts, perks or exclusive access to encourage ongoing purchases—think of a modern punch card or membership that tracks and rewards buying. For investors, they matter because strong programs can raise repeat sales, produce steadier revenue and valuable customer data, but they also create costs and future obligations that affect profitability and cash flow.
interline agreement technical
An interline agreement is a formal arrangement between two airlines that lets them sell tickets, transfer baggage, and link itineraries across each other’s flights so a passenger can travel on multiple carriers under one booking. For investors, it can increase a carrier’s reachable market and ticket sales without the cost of new routes—like two stores sharing inventory and checkout—while creating revenue-sharing and operational links that affect revenue, costs and risk.
interline ticket technical
An interline ticket is a single travel document issued by one airline that covers a trip using flights operated by two or more different carriers, with those airlines agreeing in advance to carry the passenger and share responsibilities like baggage handling. Investors care because interline arrangements affect an airline’s revenue flows, partnership reach and customer convenience—similar to a joint product sold by multiple brands that extend market access and split the proceeds.
award travel financial
Travel booked using loyalty program rewards such as frequent‑flyer miles, credit‑card points, or hotel points instead of cash. For investors, award travel matters because it represents a promise by the company to deliver future services that can affect revenue recognition, cash flow and customer loyalty—similar to a store owing gift cards that will be redeemed later and reduce future sales or margins.
priority boarding technical
Priority boarding is a service that lets certain passengers board a plane before others, often sold as an add-on or included with premium tickets and frequent‑flyer status. Investors care because it can boost revenue per passenger, improve customer satisfaction and on-time performance like a fast lane at a concert, and signal how a travel company monetizes convenience and manages operational flow.
