NACD North Texas Announces New Chapter Officers and Board Member for 2026–2027
New Officers
Debra L. von Storch, NACD.DC, has been elected as board chair of the NACD North Texas Chapter. Von Storch is a senior executive with four decades of experience guiding companies through their growth journey while at EY. She has in-depth knowledge of the business issues faced by high-growth companies, having served companies from start up to global Fortune 500 enterprises. Seated in the boardroom of both public and private companies, von Storch has experience as chair of the audit and compensation committees of Nasdaq-listed companies. Anne Motsenbocker will serve as board vice chair. Motsenbocker is an experienced corporate director and retired banking executive with more than 35 years at JPMorgan Chase, where she most recently served as Managing Director and functional CEO of the Southwest Middle Market Segment of the Commercial Bank. She serves on the boards of U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. (NYSE: USPH) as chair of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee, and CSW Industrials (NYSE: CSW) where she chairs the Audit Committee. She is also an Independent Trustee of Fortress Private Lending Fund, a perpetual-life private business development company, where she chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee. In addition to her corporate work, Motsenbocker serves as Chair of the Economic Mobility Center, as a board member of the National Kidney Foundation and the United Way Foundation of Metropolitan Dallas, and Co-Chair of the Sponsorship Committee of NACD North Texas.
Todd Murray will continue to serve as secretary. A partner at Foley & Lardner LLP, he serves as a vice president of the firm’s securities enforcement and litigation practice. Murray focuses his practice on securities litigation, director and officer fiduciary duty and corporate governance disputes, litigation involving complex accounting, accounting fraud, financial issues and energy-related matters.
Derek McClain will serve as treasurer. McClain is a former partner with Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he practiced corporate finance and securities law, and a former executive with Trammell Crow Co. and CBRE. He was chief financial officer of Trammell Crow Co. for the seven years preceding its acquisition by CBRE. He is on the boards of directors of Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co., where he serves as lead independent director, and The McShane Companies. He also serves on the board of trustees of The Fund for American Studies.

He spent nearly three decades at Siemens, culminating as Global Chief Information Officer, where he led a 7,000-person IT organization with a multi‑billion‑dollar budget and drove large-scale digital, cloud, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives across the enterprise. Dan Torpey is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura Consulting and a seasoned public‑company board member and retired EY partner with more than 30 years of experience in finance, risk management, compliance, forensic accounting and investigations. He currently serves on the board and Audit Committee of MDB Capital Holdings and on multiple nonprofit and academic boards, and he advises boards and management teams on governance, compensation, crisis response, and risk oversight. During his tenure at EY, Mr. Torpey built and led several forensic, investigation, and compliance practices, working with Fortune 500 and reporting directly to boards, regulators, investors, and other stakeholders.
His leadership includes building cross functional and global teams and has led companies through leading complex crises including navigating through natural disasters, SEC investigation and bet your business litigation. A CPA and published thought leader, Mr. Torpey brings deep strengths in audit committee leadership, governance, investigations, enterprise risk, culture, and ethics.
