Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) has expanded its frequency control portfolio with new surface-mount crystals and oscillators. The expansion includes six new crystal series and three oscillator series, featuring smaller package sizes down to 1.6mm x 1.2mm for crystals and 2.0mm x 1.6mm for oscillators. These compact designs reduce board space requirements and lower costs by up to 40% compared to current 5mm x 7mm packages.

The new crystals operate in a frequency range of 12 MHz to 60 MHz, plus a 32.768 kHz tuning fork crystal, with frequency tolerances of ±20 ppm or better at 25°C. The oscillators cover 1.0 MHz to 125 MHz. Both product lines feature improved temperature stabilities of ±25 ppm or better, surpassing existing standards of ±50 ppm for crystals and ±100 ppm for oscillators. Custom options for stability, tolerance, and operating temperature range are available.

Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) has introduced enhanced precision thin film MELF resistors with improved specifications. The AEC-Q200 qualified resistors in 0102, 0204, and 0207 case sizes now feature low TCR down to ± 15 ppm/K, tight tolerances down to ± 0.1%, and high resistance values up to 10 MΩ.

The new precision MMA 0204 offers 10 times higher resistance (5.11 MΩ) compared to previous versions, enabling a single resistor to replace multiple lower-value devices. This improvement saves space, simplifies designs, and reduces costs. The resistors are designed for current sensing in automotive ADAS, LIDAR, connectivity, and camera systems, as well as telecom, industrial, and medical equipment.

Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) has introduced the VOR1060M4, a new 1 Form A solid-state relay featuring 600 V load voltage and 3750 VRMS isolation voltage in a compact SOP-4 package. The device offers fast turn-on time of 0.3 ms and low leakage current of 2 nA, making it suitable for energy storage, industrial, and mobility applications.

The relay combines an infrared emitter and photovoltaic diode for safety-critical applications. It's designed for isolated switching in inverters, motor controls, battery management systems, industrial drives, power tools, security systems, and instrumentation. The industrial-grade device is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green, with samples and production quantities available now with eight-week lead times.

Vishay Intertechnology's VCNL36828P fully integrated proximity sensor has received two prestigious awards: the 2024 China IoT Innovation Award and the 2024 EE Awards Asia Award. The sensor features a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and combines multiple components in a compact 2.0 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.5 mm package. Key improvements include a 20% smaller package, 20% lower idle current of 5 μA, and 40% higher sunlight cancellation up to 140 klx.

The device is designed for smartphones, smart watches, TWS earphones, and VR/AR headsets, offering automatic screen functions and wear detection. Its smart dual I²C slave address enables connecting two proximity sensors without a multiplexer, reducing costs in applications.

The SiJK140E features best-in-class on-resistance of 0.34 mΩ, representing a 32% reduction compared to competing devices and 58% lower than 40 V MOSFETs in TO-263-7L packages.

The device offers enhanced efficiency with minimal power losses and improved thermal performance with a RthJC of 0.21 °C/W. It features a bond-wireless design supporting continuous drain current up to 795 A, significantly higher than TO-263-7L solutions to 200 A. The PowerPAK 10x12 package provides 27% PCB space savings and 50% lower profile compared to TO-263-7L.

Vishay Intertechnology's IHPT series of haptic feedback actuators with Immersion licenses has been named a finalist for the 2024 Elektra Awards in the 'Passive and Electromechanical Product of the Year' category. The actuators provide 12V operation for various display and control interfaces in automotive and commercial applications.

The series features four sizes ranging from 29mm x 21mm to 44mm x 37mm, with force outputs of 25N to 120N. Key advantages include fast 5ms response time, high-definition tactile feedback, and operation up to +105°C. Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new 150 V TrenchFET® Gen V n-channel power MOSFET (SiRS5700DP) in the PowerPAK® SO-8S package. The device features industry-leading specifications including 5.6 mΩ on-resistance at 10 V and 336 mΩ*nC FOM, representing a 68.3% reduction in overall on-resistance and 15.4% improvement in FOM compared to previous generations. With a low RthJC of 0.45 °C/W, it enables continuous drain current up to 144 A, targeting applications in servers, telecom power supplies, solar inverters, and battery management systems.

Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) has launched its new TS7 series of single-turn, surface-mount cermet trimmers. These components feature a compact 6.7 mm x 7 mm footprint with 5 mm height, delivering 0.5 W power rating at +70 °C. The trimmers are fully sealed for harsh environments, support automated assembly, and are available in both top and side adjustment styles. With an ohmic range from 10 Ω to 2 MΩ, they are designed for industrial, consumer, and telecom applications. Samples and production quantities are currently available with 17-week lead times.
