New ETFs expand access to systematic long/short strategies across U.S. small cap and global equity markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WisdomTree, Inc. (“WisdomTree”) (NYSE: WT), a global financial innovator, today announced the launch of the WisdomTree Efficient Long/Short U.S. SmallCap Equity Fund (WSLS) and the WisdomTree Global Alpha Fund (WTAL), both powered by AlphaBeta and listed on the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) with expense ratios of 0.88%. The Funds mark WisdomTree’s first launches on TXSE and expand WisdomTree’s capital-efficient product offering, providing investors with access to systematic long/short strategies traditionally associated with hedge funds through an ETF structure.

The Funds build on the approach introduced with the WisdomTree Efficient Long/Short U.S. Equity Fund (WTLS), extending WisdomTree’s use of quantitative, systematic investment strategies to pursue differentiated sources of return within equity portfolios. Since launching in January 2026, WTLS’s live performance has shown the potential of WisdomTree’s machine learning ensemble of strategies and the Fund’s strategic long/short overlay on top of broad large cap equity exposure. With WSLS, WisdomTree is now extending this capital-efficient core framework to small cap equities, where greater dispersion in individual stock returns may create opportunities for these long/short models to add value.

WSLS applies this approach to U.S. small cap equities while maintaining broad small cap market exposure, while WTAL combines long/short strategies across U.S. and international equities to pursue more market-neutral alpha across regions.

Helping investors build more well-rounded and diversified portfolios has been a goal of WisdomTree’s capital-efficient suite for nearly a decade, beginning with strategies that combined stock and bond exposures within a single portfolio.

WSLS seeks total return by combining U.S. small cap equity securities or derivatives that provide similar exposure with a dynamic long/short U.S. small cap equity overlay strategy. The capital-efficient structure is designed to maintain broad participation in the U.S. small cap market while pursuing an additional source of potential alpha through systematic stock selection.

WTAL: What’s Under the Hood?
WTAL seeks total return through two dynamic long/short equity overlay strategies, one focused on U.S. equities and the other on international equities. The Fund seeks exposure to each basket through derivatives, including swap contracts, with U.S. Treasuries and cash or cash equivalents serving as collateral.

• Insights from AlphaBeta Research Tools: The Fund selects investments using machine learning models developed by AlphaBeta and trained on historical data to make predictions about a security’s return and/or risk.

The strategies were developed in partnership with AlphaBeta, an Israeli fintech company specializing in quantitative investing, in which WisdomTree announced a strategic minority investment in November 2025.
