Company Description
Bitwise Proficio Currency Debasement ETF (BPRO) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund listed on the NYSE that targets a portfolio of assets associated with the declining purchasing power of fiat currencies. The fund combines exposure to bitcoin, gold, silver, other precious metals, and mining equities, and its strategy permits exposure adjustments as market conditions change.
The ETF was launched by Bitwise Asset Management in partnership with Proficio Capital Partners. Within the strategy, Bitwise contributes digital-asset investment expertise, while Proficio contributes precious-metals investment expertise. The fund's reference assets place it at the intersection of crypto assets, bullion-related exposures, and miners rather than a single-asset commodity or single-sector equity fund.
As an ETF, BPRO shares trade at market prices on the exchange and are not individually redeemed from the fund. Its active management distinguishes the fund from rules-based index products by allowing portfolio weights across bitcoin, precious metals, and mining-related equities to be adjusted within the currency-debasement theme.
