Company Description
Kalo Gold Corp. explores for gold mineralization at its 100%-owned Vatu Aurum Project in the Republic of Fiji. The company is a junior mineral exploration issuer focused on epithermal gold systems, structural corridors, and drill targets within a project area that includes the Qiriyaga Complex, Wainikoro, Mouta, Drudrusavu, and other prospect areas along a regional gold corridor.
The company’s exploration model centers on low-sulphidation epithermal gold environments. At Vatu Aurum, Kalo Gold uses drilling, trenching, soil geochemistry, stream sediment sampling, geological mapping, geophysics, petrography, litho-geochemistry, hyperspectral work, and airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys to define mineralized structures and prioritize targets. Its reported work has identified structural controls, arsenic-in-soil anomalies, gold-bearing drill intervals, alteration zones, and geological textures interpreted within epithermal hydrothermal systems.
The Qiriyaga Complex is one of the company’s principal exploration areas. Reported drilling at the QC1 target has described gold mineralization across near-surface surge deposits, diatreme-margin breccias, internal veining, and stockwork zones. The company characterizes this setting as a vertically coherent hydrothermal system controlled by lithology and structure.
The Wainikoro area is another exploration focus within Vatu Aurum. Kalo Gold has reported kilometre-scale structural corridors along the Nubu Graben and associated splay structures, as well as arsenic-in-soil anomalies at targets including Kope Road North, Kope Road South, Narusa Creek, and Wainikoro West. Drilling observations there have included bladed carbonate textures replaced by quartz and sulphide pseudomorphs, which the company interprets as features consistent with the upper levels of a boiling-stage epithermal system.
Other areas within the project have been advanced through surface sampling, geophysical surveys, and drilling. Stream sediment sampling has identified anomalous drainage areas, including the Drudrusavu Prospect, while drilling at Mouta has intersected altered volcanic rocks with disseminated sulphides. Kalo Gold’s operating activity is therefore concentrated on target generation, geological interpretation, and staged drilling rather than production or mine development.
Kalo Gold’s common shares are associated with multiple trading symbols, including KLGDF in the United States, KALO on the TSX Venture Exchange, and 9M51 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The issuer’s public updates primarily describe exploration results, target definition, project-scale geological interpretation, trading-market access, and corporate communications arrangements.
