Company Description
ProShares CoinDesk 20 Crypto ETF (KRYP) is an exchange-traded fund from ProShares designed to target the performance of the CoinDesk 20 Index. The fund gives the U.S. ETF market a product linked to a broad-based cryptocurrency benchmark rather than to a single digital asset.
The CoinDesk 20 Index represents 20 of the largest and most liquid cryptocurrencies. It is market capitalization weighted, subject to caps, and rebalanced quarterly. Those index rules are designed to limit concentration in any single cryptocurrency while maintaining exposure to major crypto assets represented in the benchmark.
KRYP sits within ProShares' broader lineup of exchange-traded funds and expands the firm's suite of crypto-related funds. ProShares launched the ETF in partnership with CoinDesk, whose index business provides the benchmark underlying the fund's strategy. The fund's identity is defined by its index-based crypto exposure, its ETF structure, and its focus on the CoinDesk 20 benchmark.
