The following is a transcript of a video communication from Greg Anderson, CEO of Allegiant Travel Company (“Allegiant”), provided in a communication to
employees of Sun Country Airlines Holdings, Inc. (“Sun Country”) on January 26, 2026 regarding the acquisition of Sun Country by Allegiant:
Hi Sun Country team — I’m Greg Anderson.
I know many of you don’t know me yet, so I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and share some important information with you.
I have spent nearly my entire career with Allegiant, and I was both honored and humbled when I was asked to become the CEO in 2024. As a native to Las Vegas, both this
community and this company are very important to me.
My wife and I have four young children – and we love to travel. Like you, we experience firsthand how special aviation is because it connects people to the moments that
matter most.
On behalf of everyone at Allegiant, let me say we have the highest regard and admiration for Sun Country and what you’ve built. You have a strong legacy, a differentiated
airline, and a reputation for service and reliability that’s known across the industry.
Which is why we’re excited about bringing our two airlines together to build on the strengths of both – not replace them.
I understand that this acquisition brings many changes and some uncertainty. That’s why I wanted to address you personally today. Being open and attentive as we navigate
this integration together is extremely important to me.
Strategically, this combination is about creating a more competitive and resilient airline for the long term. By moving forward together, we’ll grow our network, strengthen
year-round flying through expanded passenger, charter, and cargo operations, and bring together two profitable airlines with complementary strengths.
The result will be a larger, more diversified airline — one that can offer customers more destinations and more frequent service and create new opportunities for team
members across the combined company.
As our leadership teams have spent time together over the past few months, one thing has become clear: aspects of our cultures are similar. Both organizations share deep
commitments to safety, operational excellence, customer service, and supporting our communities.
I also want to recognize that many of you probably have questions. Announcements like this understandably lead to concerns about jobs, benefits and potential future
changes. These are all valid points. And you deserve straightforward answers.
Although there are still many unanswered questions, we are actively addressing them as quickly as possible. We are committed to listening closely, communicating openly, and
leading this process thoughtfully and with as much transparency as possible.
I want you to hear directly from me: we’ll communicate with honesty, and we will treat everyone with respect and fairness — period.
I also want to be very clear about something that matters deeply to us: Minnesota is critical to the combined company’s future. Sun Country has built an incredible legacy
in the Twin Cities, and we are committed to maintaining a significant presence in Minneapolis-St. Paul. In fact, it will be the largest operating base for the combined company.
While our shared organization will be headquartered in Las Vegas – we will carry forward the strengths you’ve built in Minneapolis-St. Paul. As the company grows and we
expand leadership, support teams, and the infrastructure required to run a larger airline, we expect to provide more flying, more development, and more long-term opportunities for our team members.
To ensure this work is coordinated and people-first, we have launched our Integration Management Office, or IMO. This team will be responsible for making sure integration
planning is thoughtful, well-organized, and keeps our people and our customers front and center. These integration efforts will be led by Allegiant’s Michael Broderick and supported by Sun Country’s Eric Levenhagen.
I also want you to know this won’t be led from a distance. In fact, I plan to be in Minnesota soon.
I’d like to personally invite you to join me for a Sun Country team member town hall on Thursday February 12. This will be an important opportunity for us to connect
directly — By then, we expect to share more detail on our integration approach and decision timeline. While we may not yet have final answers on individual impacts, we will outline what we know, what is still being developed, and when you can expect
updates.
Until then, thank you for what you do every day — and for the professionalism you’ve shown. I’m genuinely excited about what we can build together — in Minneapolis-St.
Paul, in Las Vegas, and across the combined airline.
