How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was $0.4 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.

OEM segment financial
"OEM segment sales decreased 42%"

non-controlling interest financial
"Net (loss) income attributable to non-controlling interest"
Non-controlling interest represents the portion of ownership in a company held by investors who do not have a controlling stake, meaning they do not have enough voting power to make major decisions. It is similar to owning a minority share of a business partner’s company—while they benefit from profits, they cannot control how the company is run. This matters to investors because it shows how much of the company's value is owned by outside shareholders and affects overall financial reporting.

    •   Reported total revenue of $14.0 million in the third quarter of 2026 primarily driven by 17% growth in the Surgical Aesthetics segment
    •   Initiated successful full commercial launch of the power liposuction handpiece for the AYON system in the third quarter
    •   Reaffirmed total revenue guidance for FY2026 of $59.0 million to $60.0 million
    •   Management to host a conference call today at 8:00 a.m. ET

CLEARWATER, FL — November 5, 2026 - Apyx Medical Corporation (NASDAQ:APYX) (“Apyx Medical;” the “Company”), the leader in surgical aesthetics marketed and sold as Renuvion® and the AYON Body Contouring System™ (AYON), today reported financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

Recent Financial and Operating Highlights:

•

Reported total revenue of $14.0 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $12.9 million in the same period last year.

◦

Surgical Aesthetics revenue increased to $13.0 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $11.1 million in the third quarter of 2025, which was the result of sales of AYON domestically and Renuvion generators internationally.

  ◦ OEM revenue was approximately $1.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, representing a decrease of 42% from the same period last year.
  • Net loss attributable to stockholders of $1.8 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with a net loss attributable to stockholders of $2.0 million in the third quarter of 2025.
  • Adjusted EBITDA was $0.4 million for the third quarter of 2026, compared with Adjusted EBITDA loss of $0.1 million for the third quarter of 2025.
  • Initiated the full commercial launch of the reusable power liposuction handpiece for the AYON Body Contouring System in the third quarter of 2026, following positive feedback from key early adopter surgeons.
  • Published prospective clinical study supporting Renuvion’s effects on biological markers associated with skin quality in the peer-reviewed academic journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery—Global Open. Among six participants completing six-month follow-up, treated tissue demonstrated 30% greater elastin fiber density and 34% less inflammation compared with untreated control areas.

“We are pleased to report 17% growth in our Surgical Aesthetics business for the quarter, reflecting continued adoption of AYON and the progress we are making in executing our commercial strategy,” said Charlie Goodwin, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Over the past year, we have continued to demonstrate the value AYON offers by providing a full suite of complementary body contouring capabilities in one integrated platform. We are building on that foundation with the broader commercial launch of power liposuction, which has received very positive early feedback from surgeons since it received FDA clearance earlier this year. We estimate that approximately 70% of plastic surgeons use power liposuction, making this an important addition that broadens AYON’s appeal.”

Third Quarter 2026 Results:

Total revenue for the three months ended September 30, 2026, increased 9% to $14.0 million, compared with $12.9 million in the prior year period. Surgical Aesthetics segment sales increased 17%, or $1.9 million, to approximately $13.0 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026, when compared with $11.1 million for the three months ended September 30, 2025. The Surgical Aesthetics sales increase was driven by sales of AYON, which commenced with the commercial launch in the third quarter of 2025 and increased sales of generators internationally. These increases were partially offset by decreases in domestic sales of standalone generators and single-use handpieces globally. OEM segment sales decreased 42%, or $0.8 million, to approximately $1.1 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026 when compared with $1.8 million for the three months ended September 30, 2025. The decrease in OEM sales was due to a decrease in sales volume to existing customers. With the increased focus on Surgical Aesthetics, the Company expects that OEM segment revenue will decrease for the year.

Gross profit for the three months ended September 30, 2026, increased 8% to $9.0 million, compared with $8.3 million for the same period in the prior year. Gross margin for the three months ended September 30, 2026, was relatively steady at 64.2%, compared to 64.4% for the same period in 2025.

2

logo.jpg

Operating expenses increased to $9.6 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared with $9.1 million for the same period last year. The increase in operating expenses was driven by a $0.4 million increase in salaries and related costs and a $0.2 million increase in selling, general and administrative expenses, partially offset by a $0.2 million decrease in professional services.

Other expense, net increased slightly to $1.1 million for each of the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared with $1.0 million for the same period last year.

Net loss attributable to stockholders was $1.8 million, or $0.04 per share, for the three months ended September 30, 2026, compared with $2.0 million, or $0.05 per share, in the prior year period.

Adjusted EBITDA for the three months ended September 30, 2026 was $0.4 million as compared with an Adjusted EBITDA loss of $0.1 million for the three months ended September 30, 2025.

For the three months ended September 30, 2026, net cash used in operating activities was $1.6 million, compared with $3.5 million used in the three months ended September 30, 2025. The decrease was primarily due to changes in working capital combined with a reduction in net loss. As of September 30, 2026, the Company had cash and cash equivalents of $25.8 million.

APYX MEDICAL CORPORATION
RECONCILIATION OF GAAP NET LOSS TO NON-GAAP ADJUSTED EBITDA
(Unaudited)

Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measure

The Company has presented the following non-GAAP financial measure in this press release: adjusted EBITDA. The Company defines adjusted EBITDA as its reported net income (loss) attributable to stockholders (GAAP) plus income tax expense (benefit), interest, depreciation and amortization, stock-based compensation expense and other significant non-recurring items.

We present the following non-GAAP measure because we believe such measure is a useful indicator of our operating performance. Our management uses this non-GAAP measure principally as a measure of our operating performance and believes that this measure is useful to investors because it is frequently used by analysts, investors and other interested parties to evaluate companies in our industry. We also believe that this measure is useful to our management and investors as a measure of comparative operating performance from period to period. The non-GAAP financial measure presented in this release should not be considered as a substitute for, or preferable to, the measures of financial performance prepared in accordance with GAAP.
