Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders regulatory
"argenx announces Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on September 17, 2026"
A meeting called by a company outside its regular annual meeting to address urgent or special matters that cannot wait until the next scheduled meeting. Investors attend or vote to decide on actions such as major deals, leadership changes, capital-raising, or rule changes; think of it as an emergency board meeting where shareholders have a direct say and the outcomes can quickly change a company’s strategy, ownership stakes, or financial prospects.
non- executive directors regulatory
"proposed appointments of Mr. Thomas M. Brakel and Mr. Khurem Farooq as non- executive directors"
Non-executive directors are members of a company's board who do not run day-to-day operations; they provide oversight, independent judgment, and advice on strategy, risk, and executive performance. They matter to investors because they act like independent referees or guardians, helping ensure management decisions and financial reporting are scrutinized and aligned with shareholders' long-term interests.
e-voting system regulatory
"information on attending the meeting in person or by proxy, requirements for notification and registration for the meeting and regarding the e-voting system"
An e-voting system is an electronic platform that lets shareholders cast and record votes on corporate matters—such as board elections and mergers—using computers or mobile devices instead of paper ballots. It matters to investors because voting determines who makes key decisions that affect a company’s strategy and value; the system’s ease of use, security and auditability influence turnout, the fairness of outcomes and investors’ confidence in corporate governance, much like online banking replaces paper checks but must be trusted.
neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) blocker medical
"argenx developed and is commercializing the first approved neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) blocker"
Immunology Innovation Program (IIP) medical
"Partnering with leading academic researchers through its Immunology Innovation Program (IIP)"
