Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (AYA) reported consolidated silver-equivalent production of 2,034,628 ounces in Q3 2026, up 51% year over year and 21% from Q2. Zgounder produced 1,497,749 ounces of silver, up 11% year over year; mill throughput averaged 4,096 tonnes per day, up 23% year over year, with 92.0% silver recovery. Reported Zgounder silver production excludes 138,100 ounces of silver cement not smelted as of quarter-end.

Boumadine’s pyrite reclaim operation contributed 536,879 ounces AgEq in Q3, up 186% quarter over quarter. The reclaim and sale of the historical pyrite stockpile is expected to last approximately 20 to 24 months from November 19, 2025, or until the stockpile is depleted. Boumadine’s polymetallic project remains at the exploration and evaluation stage and is not in commercial production.

At Zgounder, the crushing contractor will remain on site until the planned crusher expansion is completed, which is expected early 2027. The second phase of the tailings storage facility was completed in early Q3, and the ore stockpile reached 434,538 tonnes, up 16% quarter over quarter. Management said the company is firmly on track to achieve its 2026 production guidance.

Filing Explained

Boumadine’s reported 536,879 Q3 silver-equivalent ounces use an average gold-to-silver conversion ratio of about 68:1, while the company’s 2026 guidance uses 80:1; the release says applying 80:1 would have made the Q3 figure about 52,011 ounces higher.

AgEq technical
"2.03 million silver equivalent ounces ("Moz AgEq")"
Combined Mill Recovery technical
"Combined Mill Recovery (%)"
strip ratio technical
"with a strip ratio of 12"
Strip ratio measures how much non-valuable material (waste) must be removed to access a given amount of mineral-bearing rock (ore) at a surface mine, expressed as a simple ratio like 3:1 meaning three units of waste per one unit of ore. Investors care because a higher strip ratio typically means higher extraction costs, larger equipment and disposal needs, and lower profit margins—think of peeling more rind to get the same amount of fruit, which affects project economics and cash flow.
tailings storage facility technical
"The construction of the second phase of the tailings storage facility"
A tailings storage facility is a managed site—often a lined pond or engineered dam—where mining companies store the wet waste left after extracting minerals. Investors care because these sites carry long-term risks and costs (environmental damage, spills, regulatory fines, cleanup and closure liabilities) that can quickly reduce a mine’s value, halt production or trigger costly remediation, much like a leaking landfill can suddenly force unexpected expenses and legal trouble.
pyrite reclaim operation technical
"the Boumadine pyrite reclaim operation"

Operational Review
Zgounder Silver Mine
Zgounder produced 1.50 Moz of silver in Q3-2026, achieving a new quarterly record and an 11% increase YoY, reflecting optimized operations, while maintaining consistent silver recovery and feed grades.

Reported silver production excludes 138,100 oz of silver cement which was not smelted as of quarter-end.
The mill processed a record of 376,863 tonnes ("t") of ore (4,096 tpd) in Q3-2026, up 23% YoY, at an average feed grade of 146 grams per tonne ("g/t") Ag. Mill availability was strong at 99.4% and metallurgical performance remained within expectations, with silver recovery of 92.0% for the quarter. Mill throughput continues to benefit from a crushing contractor who will remain on site until the planned crusher expansion is completed, expected early 2027.
Mining operations achieved an average mining rate of 4,746 tpd at 143 g/t Ag, reflecting strong performance across both underground and open-pit operations. The open-pit mining rate reached 3,486 tpd with a strip ratio of 12, while the underground operations contributed 1,260 tpd. The construction of the second phase of the tailings storage facility ("TSF") was completed in early Q3-2026, as planned.
The ore stockpile increased by 16% QoQ to 434,538 t, in line with the Company's objective of building a three-month inventory to support the mine plan.
Boumadine
In late 2025, Aya began reclaiming and selling its historical pyrite stockpile at Boumadine. During Q3-2026, the operation produced 536,879 oz AgEq (Au:Ag ratio of 68:1)1. Material reclaimed and crushed totaled 49,890 t at average grades of 151 g/t Ag and 2.61 g/t Au.
Reclaiming operations are progressing as planned. Tonnes of pyrite reclaimed at Boumadine increased by 191% QoQ, reflecting a more normalized operating run rate, following weather-related disruptions in the first half of the year.
The reclamation and sale of the historical pyrite stockpile at Boumadine, announced on November 19, 2025, is expected to be of limited duration, lasting approximately 20 to 24 months from that date, or until the stockpile is depleted. The overall Boumadine polymetallic project remains at the exploration and evaluation stage and is not in commercial production.
