Insights

Large AI-focused orders extend Camtek’s revenue visibility into 2027.

Camtek secured over $105 million in multi-system orders tied to AI-related OSAT and HBM applications, with deliveries slated for 2027. This concentrates on advanced packaging and memory, where inspection and metrology requirements are particularly stringent.

The mix includes a $55 million order from a tier-1 OSAT and more than $50 million of Hawk systems for a leading HBM player. Management describes the orders as consistent with themes of strengthening OSAT demand and Hawk’s capabilities for HBM, suggesting alignment with AI-driven capital spending trends.

Since deliveries occur in 2027, financial impact depends on conversion of the order backlog into shipments and revenue recognition. Subsequent filings may detail how these bookings translate into reported revenue and margins over time.

OSAT financial
"multi-system order totaling $55 million from a tier-1 OSAT supporting AI applications"
OSAT stands for outsourced semiconductor assembly and test — specialist companies that take finished silicon wafers and perform the “finishing” work: cutting, packaging and testing chips so they can be used in devices. Investors watch OSATs because their sales and profit margins track overall demand for chips and the health of the electronics supply chain; they act like toll booths that reveal upstream chip production trends, customer concentration risks, and bottlenecks that can affect many tech companies.

Hawk systems technical
"orders of over $50 million, all for Hawk systems, from a leading HBM player"
inspection and metrology technical
"Camtek is a developer and manufacturer of high-end inspection and metrology equipment"
Inspection and metrology are the processes of checking products and measuring parts to ensure they meet design, safety and performance standards; inspection looks for defects while metrology provides precise measurements like length, thickness or electrical properties. For investors, these activities matter because they protect product quality, reduce recalls, improve manufacturing yield and help companies meet regulations—similar to using a ruler and checklist to avoid costly mistakes and keep customers satisfied.

"This press release contains statements that may constitute “forward-looking statements”"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
