forward-looking statements regulatory
"This news release contains "forward-looking statements" and "forward-looking information""
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
registered direct offering financial
"intended use of net proceeds from the June 2026 registered direct offering"
A registered direct offering is a way for a company to sell new shares of its stock directly to select investors with regulatory approval. This method allows the company to raise funds quickly and efficiently without needing a public auction, similar to offering exclusive access to a limited number of buyers. For investors, it often provides an opportunity to purchase shares at a favorable price, while giving the company immediate access to capital.
private placement financial
"June 2026 registered direct offering and concurrent private placement"
A private placement is a sale of securities directly to a selected group of investors, typically institutions or accredited investors, instead of through a public offering. It lets a company raise money faster and with fewer regulatory steps; for existing shareholders it matters because the newly issued shares, often sold at a discount, increase the share count and can dilute their ownership.
less-lethal technical
"a new proprietary less-lethal product line branded PARA SHOT™"
Less-lethal describes weapons, devices or tools designed to stop, restrain or disperse people while aiming to reduce the chance of causing death, examples include tasers, pepper spray, and rubber-bullet systems. It matters to investors because products labeled less-lethal sit at the intersection of law, regulation, public opinion and liability — like choosing a rubber mallet instead of a steel hammer, companies may gain access to large markets but also face tighter rules, reputational risk and potential lawsuits that affect sales and valuation.
Battlespace Laser Identification Sensor System (BLISS™) technical
"test and evaluation activities for BLISS™ at the United States Army Yuma Test Center"

As well, his senior experience in public company governance is important to maturing board oversight as we continue to grow our business and position it in a dynamic operating environment, one that we believe is increasingly favourable to our business as a Canadian defence company.
