Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (EMAT) announced that it has joined the broad‑market Russell 3000® Index and the small‑cap Russell 2000® Index, effective at the opening of U.S. equity markets on September 21, 2026, following FTSE Russell’s third‑quarter 2026 quarterly IPO additions.

EM&T highlights that approximately $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked to Russell U.S. Indexes, meaning its shares will be reflected in index‑tracking products and eligible for mandates that require benchmark membership. The company reports commercial‑scale ramp‑up of its rare earth magnet platform in Pohang, targeting 10,000 metric tons of annual magnet production capacity, including 6,000 metric tons of high‑performance sintered NdFeB magnets, supported by a 750‑megawatt electrical infrastructure agreement and 13 additional ULVAC sintered magnet production machines expected in November 2026. EM&T also provides initial fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of $400 million to $460 million.

Positive

  • Inclusion in the Russell 3000® and Russell 2000® Indexes increases EMAT’s presence in widely tracked U.S. equity benchmarks, which collectively have about $12.2 trillion in benchmarked assets, potentially enhancing visibility with institutional and index‑oriented investors.
  • EMAT is ramping rare earth magnet capacity to about 10,000 metric tons annually, including 6,000 metric tons of high‑performance sintered NdFeB magnets, backed by a 750‑megawatt power agreement and 13 new ULVAC machines, and has issued initial 2027 revenue guidance of $400–$460 million.

Negative

  • None.

Filing Explained

The September 21, 2026 index addition is effective, but the release’s reference to $12.2 trillion in benchmarked assets does not establish that those assets will buy EM&T shares: the disclosed consequence is eligibility for index-tracking products and mandates, while resulting visibility, liquidity, and institutional ownership remain uncertain.

Russell 3000® Index market
"joined the broad-market Russell 3000® Index and the small-cap Russell 2000®"
A broad stock market index that tracks the performance of about 3,000 publicly traded U.S. companies of all sizes, acting as a wide-ranging snapshot of the U.S. equity market. It matters to investors because it serves as a common yardstick for the overall market’s health and is the basis for many index funds and investment strategies—think of it as a single basket that shows how the whole U.S. stock market is doing.
Russell 2000® Index market
"joined the broad-market Russell 3000® Index and the small-cap Russell 2000®"
A stock market index that tracks the performance of roughly 2,000 publicly traded U.S. companies with smaller market values, representing the broader small-cap segment of the market. It matters to investors because it acts like a thermometer for smaller companies—used as a benchmark to compare fund performance, guide portfolio allocation, and gauge economic or market trends affecting growth-oriented, higher-risk firms.
NdFeB magnets technical
"including 6,000 metric tons of high-performance sintered NdFeB magnets"
NdFeB magnets are powerful permanent magnets made from a mix of neodymium, iron and boron; they act like tiny, permanent engines that hold or move parts without needing electricity. Investors care because these magnets are essential components in electric motors, wind turbines and many electronics, so their supply, price and recycling affect costs and profit margins across industries much like a scarce fuel influences transportation and manufacturing costs.
DFARS regulatory
"defense sourcing requirements taking effect under DFARS on January 1, 2027"
DFARS is the set of procurement rules the U.S. Department of Defense uses on top of the general federal purchasing regulations, spelling out contract requirements companies must follow when doing business with the military. It matters to investors because DFARS sets practical obligations—like cybersecurity, data handling, reporting, and pricing rules—that can affect a contractor’s ability to win and keep defense work; think of it as the house rules a supplier must follow to keep a valuable customer, with noncompliance risking lost revenue or fines.

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. Joins Russell 3000® and Russell 2000® Indexes, Gaining Exposure to $12.2 Trillion in Benchmarked Assets

U.S. rare earth permanent magnet producer becomes a constituent of both indexes effective at the opening of U.S. equity markets on September 21, 2026, following finalization of FTSE Russell’s third-quarter 2026 quarterly IPO additions

MIAMI, FL, September 21, 2026 – Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (“EM&T” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: EMAT), a U.S.-based critical materials and advanced manufacturing company producing rare earth permanent magnets, battery materials and related critical minerals, today announced that it has joined the broad-market Russell 3000® Index and the small-cap Russell 2000® Index, effective as of the opening of U.S. equity markets today, Monday, September 21, 2026. The addition was finalized through FTSE Russell’s third-quarter 2026 quarterly IPO additions process, placing EM&T in two of the most widely tracked U.S. equity benchmarks in its first year as a Nasdaq-listed company.

Membership in the Russell 2000® Index results in automatic inclusion in the broad-market Russell 3000® Index and in the applicable Russell U.S. style indexes. According to FTSE Russell, approximately $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked to or invested in products based on the Russell U.S. Indexes, which institutional investors use for index funds and as benchmarks for both active and passive strategies. As an official constituent, EM&T is now being incorporated into index-tracking investment products and institutional portfolios, and is immediately eligible for active managers whose mandates require benchmark membership.

“Joining the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes is a defining capital-markets milestone for EM&T and a direct reflection of the operational and commercial execution we have delivered since our Nasdaq listing earlier this year,” said Christopher Clower, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of EM&T. “In eight months we have moved EM&T into commercial-scale production. We have validated our non-China supply chain, secured ex-China NdPr feedstock, advanced our Pohang infrastructure expansion to scale annual magnet production to 10,000 metric tons, and established initial revenue guidance of $400 million to $460 million for fiscal 2027. Constituent status in two of the most widely followed U.S. equity benchmarks puts EM&T directly in front of the institutional capital that indexes to them, and it comes as the market moves to meet the critical defense sourcing requirements taking effect under DFARS on January 1, 2027.”

The index additions coincide with the ongoing commercial expansion of EM&T’s rare earth permanent magnet platform in Pohang, Republic of Korea. Supported by a 750-megawatt electrical infrastructure agreement with KEPCO and thirteen additional ULVAC sintered magnet production machines scheduled for delivery in November 2026, the Company is ramping annual production capacity to approximately 10,000 metric tons, including 6,000 metric tons of high-performance sintered NdFeB magnets, utilizing secured non-China NdPr feedstock.
