Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) financial
"Aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks"
A widely used set of guidelines for how organizations report their environmental, social and governance performance, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) gives a common “recipe” for describing impacts such as emissions, labor practices and community relations. For investors it matters because consistent, comparable reporting makes it easier to assess long-term risks and opportunities that aren’t visible in financial statements alone — like pollution liability, supply-chain problems, or reputation exposure.
Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) financial
"Aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks"
A sustainability accounting standards board (SASB) develops industry-specific standards that tell companies which environmental, social, and governance issues are likely to affect financial performance and should be disclosed to investors. Think of it as a checklist that makes sustainability information consistent and comparable across companies, helping investors judge risks and opportunities—like assessing how well different cars score on fuel efficiency when deciding which to buy.
Significant Environmental Incident Frequency Rate financial
"Recorded a Significant Environmental Incident Frequency Rate of 0.00 per million hours worked"
Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate financial
"Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate of 1.65 per million hours worked, compared with 2.21 in 2024"
Total recordable injury frequency rate is a workplace-safety metric that counts the number of injuries requiring medical treatment, restricted work, or lost time, scaled to a standard amount of employee hours (commonly per million hours worked). Think of it like counting car accidents per miles driven: it lets investors compare how safely different operations run, signaling potential costs, production disruptions, regulatory risk, and reputational exposure tied to worker safety.
Responsible Gold Mining Principles financial
"completion of external assurance against the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles"
A set of practices and standards that guide how gold mines operate to protect people, the environment, and local communities while running their business responsibly. Think of it like regular maintenance and safety rules for a home—when followed, they reduce the chance of costly accidents, legal trouble, or reputational damage, making the mine’s output and the company’s financial outlook more predictable and attractive to investors.
Conflict-Free Gold Standard financial
"assessments at our producing mines (excluding Brazil operations) against the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles and the Conflict-Free Gold Standard"
