Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Honeywell Aerospace Inc. reported third-quarter sales of $4.644 billion, up 2% year over year, and net income of $737 million, up 13%. Adjusted EBIT was $1.161 billion, up 1%, while backlog reached $19.324 billion, up 12%; trailing 12-month orders were up 9%. The company reported $668 million of operating cash flow and $500 million of free cash flow. Engines & Power Systems adjusted EBIT declined 16% to $250 million as unfavorable mix and higher costs more than offset price and tariff refunds.

It raised 2026 pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share guidance to $7.85–$8.00 and second-half free cash flow guidance to $1.2–$1.4 billion, maintained its 4%–5% organic sales growth outlook, and narrowed full-year pro forma standalone adjusted EBIT guidance to $4.375–$4.425 billion. The board declared its first quarterly cash dividend as an independent public company, $0.40 per share, payable December 4, 2026, to shareholders of record November 13, 2026. The company also announced a $500 million, 300,000-square-foot Tempe facility expected to open in late 2028 and create approximately 600 jobs.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Adjusted EBIT financial
"Adjusted EBIT was up 1%"
Adjusted EBIT is a company’s operating profit before interest and taxes, but cleaned up by removing one-time or unusual items that can obscure ongoing performance. Investors use it like a tidied-up report card — it aims to show the underlying profitability of the business by excluding irregular gains, losses, or costs so comparisons across periods or companies are clearer and more meaningful for valuing operational strength.
organic sales growth financial
"maintained its full-year organic sales outlook"
Organic sales growth measures how much a company’s revenue rises from its regular business activity — like selling more products, charging higher prices, or selling to more customers — without counting money from buying other businesses or one-time currency effects. Investors watch it because it shows whether demand and the company’s core operations are genuinely getting stronger, similar to judging a garden by how much the plants you planted yourself are growing rather than by adding bought potted plants.
free cash flow financial
"second half 2026 free cash flow guidance"
Free cash flow is the amount of money a company has left over after paying all its expenses and investing in its business, like buying equipment or updating facilities. It shows how much cash is available to reward shareholders, pay down debt, or save for future growth. This helps investors understand if a company is financially healthy and able to grow.
pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share financial
"pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share guidance"
Sales $4.644 billion Up 2% year over year
Net income $737 million Up 13% year over year

Guidance

Raised full-year 2026 pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share guidance to $7.85–$8.00 and second-half free cash flow guidance to $1.2–$1.4 billion; maintained organic sales growth outlook at 4%–5%; narrowed full-year pro forma standalone adjusted EBIT guidance to $4.375–$4.425 billion.

•Sales of $4.6 billion, reported and organic1 sales up 2% year over year
•Net income of $0.7 billion; adjusted EBIT1 of $1.2 billion, up 1% despite incremental standalone costs
•Raises full-year pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share1 and second half free cash flow1 guidance
•Board declares inaugural quarterly dividend payment of $0.40 per share on the company’s common stock

PHOENIX, October 28, 2026 -- Honeywell Aerospace (Nasdaq: HONA) today announced results for the third quarter and declared its first quarterly dividend. The company also raised its full-year 2026 pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share1 and second half 2026 free cash flow1 guidance ranges, maintained its full-year organic1 sales outlook, and narrowed its full-year pro forma standalone adjusted EBIT1 guidance range.

“Honeywell Aerospace delivered results above our expectations in its first quarter as a standalone company, increasing sales and adjusted EBIT sequentially and year over year as we accelerate investments to drive greater output and better serve our customers. Demand for our solutions remains robust with 9% orders growth over the last 12 months,” said Jim Currier, Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell Aerospace. “We are seeing encouraging signs from pacing suppliers as we deepen our commitment to enduring partnerships. This progress, combined with ongoing qualification of additional material sources, positions us for higher sales and output growth in 2027 and beyond.”

Initial dividend declaration
Honeywell Aerospace’s Board of Directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.40 per share of its common stock. The dividend is payable on December 4, 2026, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on November 13, 2026.

Currier added, “The Board’s decision to declare a regular dividend underscores the visibility into our durable free cash flow growth in the years ahead. Paying a competitive, growing dividend is a key component of our capital allocation strategy designed to deliver substantial shareholder value while maintaining financial flexibility and a strong investment-grade credit rating.”

Commercial Aftermarket sales of $2.1 billion grew 2% year over year, driven by healthy underlying demand limited by mechanical component availability. Non-GAAP Financial Measures
The following information provides definitions and reconciliations of certain non-GAAP financial measures presented in this press release to which this reconciliation is attached to the most directly comparable financial measures calculated and presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Management believes that, when considered together with reported amounts, these measures are useful to investors and management in understanding our ongoing operations and in the analysis of ongoing operating trends. Management believes these non‑GAAP financial measures provide investors with useful supplemental information related to our performance period to period, align the measures to how management evaluates performance internally, and make it easier for investors to compare our performance to peers. These measures should be considered in addition to, and not as replacements for, the most comparable GAAP measure. Certain measures presented on a non-GAAP basis represent the impact of adjusting items net of tax. The tax-effect for adjusting items is determined individually and on a case-by-case basis. Other companies may calculate these non-GAAP measures differently, limiting the usefulness of these measures for comparative purposes.
Management does not consider these non-GAAP measures in isolation or as an alternative to financial measures determined in accordance with GAAP. The principal limitations of these non-GAAP financial measures are that they exclude significant expenses and income that are required by GAAP to be recognized in the consolidated financial statements. In addition, they are subject to inherent limitations as they reflect the exercise of judgments by management about which expenses and income are excluded or included in determining these non-GAAP financial measures. Investors are urged to review the reconciliation of the non-GAAP financial measures to the comparable GAAP financial measures and not to rely on any single financial measure to evaluate Honeywell Aerospace’s business.
Information reconciling forward-looking GAAP financial measures to non-GAAP financial measures related to full-year 2026 guidance, including organic sales growth, pro forma standalone adjusted EBIT, pro forma standalone adjusted earnings per share, and second half free cash flow, is not available because management cannot reliably predict or estimate certain items without unreasonable effort. These items include fluctuations in global currency markets; the timing, occurrence and impact of acquisition and divestiture transactions; pension mark-to-market expense as it is dependent on macroeconomic factors, such as interest rates and the return generated on invested pension plan assets; and the timing of working capital cash flows and capital expenditures. The information that is unavailable to provide a quantitative reconciliation could have a significant impact on our reported financial results.

We define adjusted EBIT as Net income excluding taxes, excluding interest, amortization-related intangibles, stock compensation expense, environmental expense, pension (income) expense, repositioning and other charges, transaction costs, expenses associated with the Honeywell trademark license, other items within Other (income) expense, net, and other items that are unusual or non-recurring in nature, including but not limited to impairment charges and litigation charges (e.g., comprehensive settlement related to Flexjet litigation). We define free cash flow as cash provided by operating activities less cash for capital expenditures and excluding the cash payments for settlement of Flexjet-related litigation matters.
We believe this measure is useful to investors and management as a measure of cash generated by operations that will be used to repay scheduled debt maturities and can be used to invest in future growth through new business development activities or acquisitions, pay dividends, repurchase stock, or repay debt obligations prior to their maturities. This measure can also be used to evaluate our ability to generate cash flow from operations and the impact that this cash flow has on our liquidity.

Honeywell Aerospace to build new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Arizona to support growing commercial and defense demand

New facility planned for Tempe campus will create approximately 600 jobs, and support current and next-generation aviation technologies and high-priority defense programs

PHOENIX, October 28, 2026 – Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ: HONA) today announced a major expansion of its manufacturing facilities, strengthening the company's ability to meet growing demand across current and next-generation commercial aviation and defense programs.

The new $500 million, 300,000 square foot Tempe, Arizona facility will include an integrated digital production system, modular robotics, automated inspection, digital twins, and be powered by an end-to-end digital thread. This Honeywell Aerospace from-the-ground-up manufacturing facility investment will support the largest commercial and defense customers in aerospace and defense.

"Demand for Honeywell Aerospace technologies continues to accelerate across both commercial and defense markets, and this major investment ensures we can continue delivering for our customers while unlocking long-term growth for our shareholders," said Jim Currier, president and chief executive officer of Honeywell Aerospace. “This is an example of how our recent spin into an independent, publicly-traded Honeywell Aerospace allows us to make decisions and investments that support our growth and the future of aviation and defense.”

The new facility, near the company’s global headquarters, will create supply chain resilience by adding internal complex machining capability – a key area of the supply base that is currently constrained – while establishing a more vertically integrated production system for the next generation of products including Assure advanced actuation systems and Attune vapor cycle cooling subsystems.

Opening in late 2028, the advanced manufacturing facility will support customers’ growth on current programs, $15 billion in Control Systems new program wins, and the future of aviation. The expansion will also provide critical capacity growth to support priority production of critical defense technologies included in the supplier framework agreement the company signed with the Department of War in March.

The facility will create approximately 600 jobs, increasing the company’s engineering depth and its skilled workforce.

"Arizona has been at the heart of our innovation and manufacturing operations for decades,” Currier continued. “Expanding on our existing Tempe campus with this state-of-the-art new facility reinforces our commitment to this great state, our employees and the Arizona workforce, as well as the customers around the world who depend on Honeywell Aerospace technologies every day."
