Rhea-AI Filing Summary

IceCure Medical Ltd. (ICCM) said its ProSense® breast cancer cryoablation system was featured in scientific presentations, research posters and physician workshops at the European Society of Breast Imaging’s 2026 meeting in Maastricht, Netherlands. Presentations reported 12-month objective response rates of 97.5% among 40 patients treated with cryoablation plus endocrine therapy and 91.7% among 24 patients treated with cryoablation alone.

Dr. Lucía Graña-López and Dr. Francesca Pugliese gave scientific presentations; Dr. Graña-López and Dr. Federica Di Naro led two workshops, each with nearly 70 participants. Posters were presented by Dr. Georgiana-Cristiana Camen and Dr. Pugliese. IceCure describes ProSense as FDA-cleared for local treatment of breast cancer in patients aged 70 years and older with biologically low-risk tumors ≤1.5 cm who receive adjuvant endocrine therapy, including patients not eligible for surgery. Chief Executive Officer Eyal Shamir commented on physician engagement at the meeting.

Filing Explained

The October 13 Form 6-K incorporates the report—except the release’s sixth paragraph—into IceCure’s listed Form F-3 and Form S-8 registration statements as of submission, making the report part of those filings.

Objective response rate 97.5% 12-month data; 40 patients treated with cryoablation plus endocrine therapy
Objective response rate 91.7% 12-month data; 24 patients treated with cryoablation alone
Workshop attendance Nearly 70 participants Attendance at each of two clinical workshops
Clinical data time point 12 months Objective response rates reported for two treatment groups
Patient age 70 years and older FDA-cleared local treatment indication for breast cancer
Tumor size ≤1.5 cm Biologically low-risk tumors in the stated FDA-cleared indication
cryoablation medical
"breast cancer cryoablation"
A medical treatment that uses extreme cold to freeze and destroy unwanted tissue, such as small tumors or heart tissue causing irregular rhythms; think of it like applying a focused freezer to stop a problem spot without cutting it out. It matters to investors because devices, tools, and drugs tied to cryoablation, plus clinical results, approval status and insurance coverage, can drive sales, shape market adoption and affect the financial outlook of healthcare companies.
objective response rates medical
"12-month clinical data reporting objective response rates"
Objective response rate (ORR) is the share of patients in a clinical trial whose disease shows a clear, measurable improvement—usually tumor shrinkage or disappearance—based on predefined criteria. For investors, ORR offers a concrete early signal of a therapy’s effectiveness: higher ORR can increase the drug’s chance of regulatory approval, commercial value, and revenue potential, much like a product’s percent of satisfied customers predicting market success.
endocrine therapy medical
"cryoablation plus endocrine therapy"
Endocrine therapy is a medical treatment that reduces or blocks hormones that help certain tumors grow, for example by lowering production of the hormone or preventing it from attaching to cancer cells. Think of it as cutting off the fuel supply to slow or stop growth. Investors care because these therapies drive sales, long-term treatment demand, regulatory milestones and clinical trial outcomes that directly affect healthcare companies’ revenues and valuations.
Contrast Enhancement Mammography medical
"CEM (Contrast Enhancement Mammography)"
A mammography technique that uses an injected iodinated contrast agent and specialized X‑ray imaging to make areas of increased blood flow in the breast more visible; images are typically acquired at different energy levels (spectral imaging) so contrast-enhanced tissue stands out against normal breast tissue. It highlights regions with abnormal vascularity—often associated with tumors—so it can reveal lesions that are hard to see on ordinary mammograms, but it requires intravenous contrast (so it is not used in patients with certain allergies or severe kidney disease) and does not replace other imaging modalities when those provide different or complementary information.
histological response medical
"Predicting Histological Response After Breast Cryoablation"
Histological response is the change seen in tissue samples under a microscope after a treatment, showing how cells or disease have reacted at a structural level. For investors, it provides direct biological evidence that a therapy is affecting its target—helping regulators and drug developers decide whether a treatment is likely to work, move through trials, or gain approval; think of it as inspecting an engine’s internals after repairs to judge long-term performance.

IceCure Highlights Clinical Data and Strong Physician Engagement for ProSense® Breast Cancer Cryoablation at EUSOBI 2026

Scientific presentations, research posters and clinical workshops featured ProSense® breast cancer cryoablation and highlighted strong physician engagement across Europe

CAESAREA, Israel, October 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IceCure Medical Ltd. (Nasdaq: ICCM) (“IceCure,” “IceCure Medical” or the “Company”), developer of minimally-invasive cryoablation technology that destroys tumors by freezing as an option to surgical tumor removal, announced today that ProSense® breast cancer cryoablation was featured in multiple scientific presentations, research posters and physician workshops at the European Society of Breast Imaging (“EUSOBI”) Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, held in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Featured presentations included 12-month clinical data reporting objective response rates of 97.5% among 40 patients treated with cryoablation plus endocrine therapy and 91.7% among 24 patients treated with cryoablation alone.

ProSense® was featured during two key scientific sessions at EUSOBI, reflecting clinical interest in breast cancer cryoablation in Europe. Dr. Lucía Graña-López (Lugo, Spain) presented the clinical potential of cryoablation during her presentation “Beyond Biopsy: Image-Guided Therapy in Practice” during the session “From Target to Treatment: Breast Interventions.” Dr. Francesca Pugliese (Florence, Italy) shared her findings from “Local Tumor Control in Elderly Breast Cancer Patients Ineligible for Surgery: Cryoablation Alone or Combined with Hormonal Therapy” during the session on “Advances in Image-Guided Breast Intervention and Minimally Invasive Therapy.”

The Company also hosted two well-attended clinical workshops, led by Dr. Lucía Graña-López (Lugo, Spain) and Dr. Federica Di Naro (Florence, Italy): “From Freeze to Future: Cryoablation as a New Frontier in De-Escalated Breast Cancer Care” and “Reading the Freeze: Practical Imaging Interpretation After Breast Cancer Cryoablation”. Each workshop attracted nearly 70 participants.

Two scientific posters by ProSense® users were presented: “From Initial Experience to One-Year Outcomes: Single-Center Efficacy and Safety of Percutaneous Cryoablation for Breast Lesions in Romania” by Dr. Georgiana-Cristiana Camen (Romania) and “When Enhancement Disappears: The Role of Negative CEM (Contrast Enhancement Mammography) in Predicting Histological Response After Breast Cryoablation” by Dr. Francesca Pugliese (Florence, Italy).

EUSOBI is a leading European organization dedicated to breast imaging and education, bringing together breast radiologists and other specialists from across Europe and internationally. The Annual Scientific Meeting provides a platform for the exchange of clinical knowledge, research and advances in breast imaging and treatment.

“We are thrilled by the tremendous enthusiasm and engagement ProSense® generated throughout EUSOBI,” said Eyal Shamir, Chief Executive Officer of IceCure Medical. “From live demonstrations and two key scientific sessions to two workshops attended by nearly 70 participants each, the response was outstanding. The inclusion of ProSense® in scientific posters and the presentation of encouraging 12-month clinical results further demonstrate the growing momentum behind breast cancer cryoablation and the expanding role of ProSense® in advancing minimally invasive care across Europe.”
