Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Rhea-AI Filing Summary

The Kraft Heinz Company reorganized its operating segments in the third quarter of 2026, combining West and East Emerging Markets (WEEM) and Asia Emerging Markets (AEM) into Emerging Markets. It also moved certain European countries from the former WEEM segment to Europe and Pacific Developed Markets. The resulting reportable segments are North America, Europe and Pacific Developed Markets, and Emerging Markets. The reorganization had no impact on previously reported financial statements.

Supplemental unaudited historical information recasts results for fiscal years 2023 through 2025 and quarters from March 2024 through June 2026 under the new structure. In the recast presentation, 2025 net sales were $24.942 billion, compared with $25.846 billion in 2024. Adjusted operating income, a non-GAAP measure, was $4.745 billion in 2025, compared with $5.360 billion in 2024.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Organic Net Sales financial
"Organic Net Sales is a non-GAAP financial measure."
Organic net sales represent the revenue generated from a company's core business activities, excluding the effects of acquisitions, divestments, or currency changes. It shows how well the company is growing through its existing products and services, similar to tracking how a plant grows from its own roots rather than by adding new plants. Investors use this measure to assess the true growth and health of a company's ongoing operations.
Segment Adjusted Operating Income financial
"Segment Adjusted Operating Income is defined as operating income/(loss)"
Segment adjusted operating income is the profit a specific part of a business generates from its core activities after removing one-time items, unusual charges, or accounting quirks that can distort results. Investors use it to see how a particular division is really performing, like checking a player’s game stats after ignoring fluke plays, so they can compare divisions and track true operating trends over time.
Constant Currency Adjusted Operating Income financial
"Reconciliation of Adjusted Operating Income to Constant Currency Adjusted Operating Income"

Introduction
Background:
In the third quarter of 2026, we reorganized our segments. For informational purposes only, we have provided this supplemental information to present the effects of these changes to certain previously disclosed financial information, including certain unaudited information related to our results of operations by segment and non-GAAP financial measures for the years ended December 27, 2025, December 28, 2024, and December 30, 2023, as well as each of the quarters ended June 27, 2026, March 28, 2026, December 27, 2025, September 27, 2025, June 28, 2025, March 29, 2025, December 28, 2024, September 28, 2024, June 29, 2024, and March 30, 2024. These changes had no impact on our condensed consolidated financial statements for any of the periods presented in our Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q or our consolidated financial statements for any of the periods presented in our Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 27, 2025 filed on February 12, 2026 (“2025 Form 10-K”).
The following unaudited financial information is based on our historical financial statements after giving effect to the segment reorganization in the third quarter of 2026. You should read this supplemental information together with our audited consolidated financial statements and related Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements in our 2025 Form 10-K. The financial information contained in this supplemental information is not indicative of future or annual results.
Change in Segments:
Prior to the reorganization of our segments in the third quarter of 2026, we managed and reported our operating results through two reportable segments defined by geographic region: North America and Europe and Pacific Developed Markets (“EPDM” or International Developed Markets). Our remaining operating segments, consisting of West and East Emerging Markets (“WEEM”) and Asia Emerging Markets (“AEM”), were combined and disclosed as Emerging Markets.
In the third quarter of 2026, our internal reporting and reportable segments changed. We combined our WEEM and AEM segments to form the Emerging Markets operating segment in order to increase efficiencies and drive sustainable growth across our global business. In conjunction with the creation of the Emerging Markets operating segment, we moved certain European countries within the former WEEM operating segment into the Europe and Pacific Developed Markets operating segment.
Subsequent to the reorganization, we manage our operating results through three operating segments, all of which are reportable segments: North America, Europe and Pacific Developed Markets, and Emerging Markets.
Results of Operations by Segment
In this supplemental information, in addition to results prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (“GAAP”), we disclose certain non-GAAP financial measures. These non-GAAP financial measures assist management in comparing our performance on a consistent basis for purposes of business decision-making by removing the impact of certain items that management believes do not directly reflect our underlying operations. See the Non-GAAP Financial Measures section for additional information and reconciliations from GAAP financial measures.
Management evaluates segment performance based on several factors, including net sales, Organic Net Sales, and Segment Adjusted Operating Income. Organic Net Sales is a non-GAAP financial measure. See the Non-GAAP Financial Measures section for additional information. Segment Adjusted Operating Income is defined as operating income/(loss) excluding, when they occur, the impacts of restructuring activities, deal costs, unrealized gains/(losses) on commodity hedges (the unrealized gains and losses are recorded in general corporate expenses until realized; once realized, the gains and losses are recorded in the applicable segment’s operating results), impairment losses, separation costs, and certain non-ordinary course legal and regulatory matters. Segment Adjusted Operating Income is a financial measure that can assist management and investors in comparing our performance on a consistent basis by removing the impact of certain items that management believes do not directly reflect our underlying operations. Management also uses Segment Adjusted Operating Income to allocate resources.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures
The non-GAAP financial measures we provide in this supplemental information should be viewed in addition to, and not as an alternative for, results prepared in accordance with GAAP.
To supplement the GAAP financial information provided, we have presented Organic Net Sales, Adjusted Operating Income, and Constant Currency Adjusted Operating Income, which are considered non-GAAP financial measures. The non-GAAP financial measures presented may differ from similarly titled non-GAAP financial measures presented by other companies, and other companies may not define these non-GAAP financial measures in the same way. These measures are not substitutes for their comparable GAAP financial measures, such as net sales, operating income/(loss), or other measures prescribed by GAAP, and there are limitations to using non-GAAP financial measures.
4

Pre-filing blackline 10.06.2026
Management uses these non-GAAP financial measures to assist in comparing our performance on a consistent basis for purposes of business decision making by removing the impact of certain items that management believes do not directly reflect our underlying operations. We believe that Organic Net Sales, Adjusted Operating Income, and Constant Currency Adjusted Operating Income provide important comparability of underlying operating results, allowing investors and management to assess the Company’s operating performance on a consistent basis. Management believes that presenting our non-GAAP financial measures (i.e., Organic Net Sales, Adjusted Operating Income, and Constant Currency Adjusted Operating Income) is useful to investors because it (i) provides investors with meaningful supplemental information regarding financial performance by excluding certain items, (ii) permits investors to view performance using the same tools that management uses to budget, make operating and strategic decisions, and evaluate historical performance, and (iii) otherwise provides supplemental information that may be useful to investors in evaluating our results. We believe that the presentation of these non-GAAP financial measures, when considered together with the corresponding GAAP financial measures and the reconciliations to those measures, provides investors with additional understanding of the factors and trends affecting our business than could be obtained absent these disclosures.
Organic Net Sales is defined as net sales excluding, when they occur, the impact of currency, acquisitions and divestitures, and a 53rd week of shipments. We calculate the impact of currency on net sales by holding exchange rates constant at the previous year’s exchange rate, with the exception of highly inflationary subsidiaries, for which we calculate the previous year’s results using the current year’s exchange rate.
Adjusted Operating Income is defined as operating income/(loss) excluding, when they occur, the impacts of restructuring activities, deal costs, separation costs, unrealized gains/(losses) on commodity hedges (the unrealized gains and losses are recorded in general corporate expenses until realized; once realized, the gains and losses are recorded in the applicable segment’s operating results), impairment losses, and certain non-ordinary course legal and regulatory matters. We also present Adjusted Operating Income on a constant currency basis. We calculate the impact of currency on Adjusted Operating Income by holding exchange rates constant at the previous year’s exchange rate, with the exception of highly inflationary subsidiaries, for which we calculate the previous year’s results using the current year’s exchange rate.
