On February 27, 2026, Norman L. Traeger, a member of the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of M/I Homes, Inc. (the “Company”) since 1997, notified the Company of his intention to retire from the Board at the expiration of his current term at the Company’s 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “2026 Annual Meeting”) and not stand for re-election at the 2026 Annual Meeting. A copy of the press release announcing Mr.Traeger’s retirement and related matters is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. The Company will identify the Board’s nominee to serve on the Board as Mr. Traeger’s successor in its Proxy Statement for the 2026 Annual Meeting.

Columbus, Ohio (March 4, 2026) – M/I Homes, Inc. (NYSE:MHO) today announced that Norman L. Traeger, an independent member of the Company’s Board of Directors, has informed the Company of his decision to retire from the Board upon the expiration of his term.
