How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Quarterly cash dividend $0.17 per share Payable January 4, 2027, to stockholders of record December 14, 2026
Adjusted EBITDA financial
"record Q1 Adjusted EBITDA of $15.5 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
Free Cash Flow financial
"We define Free Cash Flow (FCF) as net cash provided by operating activities less capital expenditures"
Free cash flow is the amount of money a company has left over after paying all its expenses and investing in its business, like buying equipment or updating facilities. It shows how much cash is available to reward shareholders, pay down debt, or save for future growth. This helps investors understand if a company is financially healthy and able to grow.
Non-GAAP financial
"reported adjusting for certain items (Non-GAAP)"
Non-GAAP refers to financial measures that companies use to show their earnings or performance without including certain expenses or income that are often added back to give a different picture. It matters because it can make a company's results look better or more favorable, but it may also hide important costs, so investors need to look at both GAAP (official rules) and non-GAAP numbers to get a full understanding.
Free Cash Flow Margin financial
"Free Cash Flow Margin"
Free cash flow margin is a measure of how much cash a company generates relative to its sales, showing the percentage of revenue that remains after covering operating expenses and investments in growth. It indicates how efficiently a company turns its sales into available cash that can be used for things like paying dividends, reducing debt, or expanding the business. A higher margin suggests better financial health and more flexibility to invest or return value to shareholders.
prospective run rate financial
"has a prospective run rate of approximately $106 million"
Revenue $49.980 million up 1.7%
Net income $13.009 million up 6.9%
Diluted earnings per share $0.36 per share up 5.9%
Adjusted EBITDA $15.509 million up 3.8%
Free cash flow $2.317 million down 79.8%

NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc. Reports Fiscal Q1 2027 Results

AMITYVILLE, N.Y., November 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSSC), one of the leading manufacturers and designers of high-tech electronic security equipment, wireless communication devices for intrusion and fire alarm systems and the related recurring service revenues as well as a provider of school safety solutions, today announced financial results for its first quarter of fiscal year 2027.  Results are reported in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) and are also reported adjusting for certain items (“Non-GAAP”). A reconciliation between GAAP and Non-GAAP operating results is provided at the end of this press release.

First Quarter 2027 Financial Results as Compared to First Quarter 2026

●Net revenue increased 1.7% to a First Quarter record $50.0 million
●Recurring service revenue (“RSR”) increased 11.5% to a Quarterly record $26.1 million, with over 90% gross margin
●RSR has a prospective annual run rate of approximately $106 million based on October 2026 recurring service revenues
●Equipment revenue decreased 7.3% to $23.9 million
●Gross profit margin increased to 58.7.% vs 56.6% in prior fiscal year quarter
●Net Income increased 6.9% YoY to a First Quarter record $13.0 million
●Diluted Net Income per share increased 5.9% to $0.36
●Non-GAAP Adjusted EBITDA increased 3.8% to a First Quarter record $15.5 million with an Adjusted EBITDA Margin of 31.0%, compared to $14.9 million with an Adjusted EBITDA Margin of 30.4% in the prior fiscal year quarter
●The board declared a quarterly dividend of $.17 per share, payable on January 4, 2027, to shareholders of record on December 14, 2026.

Kevin Buchel, CEO and President, commented, “Our Fiscal Q1 performance reflects continued positive financial results. We achieved record Q1 revenue of $50.0 million and record Q1 Adjusted EBITDA of $15.5 million, which was bolstered by our recurring service revenue. Our RSR continues to deliver gross margins of over 90% and has a prospective run rate of approximately $106 million, a $3 million increase from the run rate we reported in July 2026. While equipment revenue declined year-over-year, the decrease was driven by two locking distributors reducing their purchases during the quarter. Importantly, sell-through at both distributors grew year-over-year and strengthened meaningfully on a sequential basis. We view sell-through as the truest indicator of end-market demand, and these trends reinforce our confidence in the underlying health of the business.

We are pleased to continue our dividend program of which the quarterly dividend will be $0.17 per share, which will be paid on January 4, 2027, to shareholders of record on December 14, 2026.”
