How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

constant-currency revenue change financial
"Constant-currency revenue change is a non-GAAP financial measure"
adjusted EPS financial
"Adjusted EPS"
Adjusted earnings per share (adjusted eps) is a measure of a company's profit per share that has been modified to exclude certain one-time or unusual items, such as costs from restructuring or asset sales. It provides a clearer picture of the company’s core performance by removing events that may distort the usual earnings. Investors use adjusted eps to better understand a company's ongoing profitability and compare it more accurately over time.
valuation allowance on deferred tax assets financial
"Impact of valuation allowance on deferred tax assets"
A valuation allowance on deferred tax assets is an accounting reserve a company sets up when it doubts it will be able to use tax benefits it has recorded, such as past losses or tax credits, to reduce future taxes. Think of it like marking down the value of a coupon because you’re unlikely to use it; it matters to investors because increasing the allowance can reduce reported profits and suggest weaker future cash tax savings and lower financial strength.
operating margin financial
"Operating margin, excluding certain charges"
Operating margin shows how much profit a company makes from its core business activities after paying for costs like wages and materials. It’s useful because it tells you how efficiently a company is running—higher margins mean it keeps more money from each dollar of sales, which can indicate better management or stronger products.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures: Constant-currency revenue change is a non-GAAP financial measure that removes the impact of fluctuations in foreign-currency exchange rates, thereby facilitating period-to-period comparisons of the company’s performance. It is calculated by translating the current period’s revenue at the same average exchange rates in effect during the applicable prior-year period and then comparing that amount to the prior-year period’s revenue. The company believes that constant-currency revenue change is useful to investors, lenders and analysts because such information enables them to gauge the impact of foreign-currency fluctuations on the company’s revenue from period to period.

Earnings per share, operating margin, and income tax rate, each excluding severance charges, cash-based transition costs, and/or other charges, also are non-GAAP financial measures.

•
Severance charges and cash-based transition costs are not part of the ongoing operations of our underlying business; and

•
The other charges incurred in connection with certain corporate actions, as described in the footnotes to the non-GAAP reconciliation tables below, are not part of our ongoing operations.

The company believes that these non-GAAP financial measures are useful to investors, lenders and analysts because removing the impact of these items facilitates period-to-period comparisons of the company’s performance. Please see the reconciliations of these items to our earnings per share, gross margin, operating margin, income tax rate and revenue growth rate calculated under GAAP, below.

“Customers” are persons who have purchased directly from the Company during the three months ended as of the date indicated. Our Customer numbers include members of our salesforce who made such a purchase, including Paid Affiliates and those who qualify as Sales Leaders, but they do not include consumers who purchase directly from members of our sales force.

•
“Paid Affiliates” are any Brand Affiliates, as well as members of our sales force in Mainland China, who earned sales compensation during the three-month period. In all of our markets besides Mainland China, we refer to members of our independent sales force as “Brand Affiliates” because their primary role is to promote our brand and products through their personal social networks.

•
“Sales Leaders” are the three-month average of our monthly Brand Affiliates, as well as sales employees and independent marketers in Mainland China, who achieved certain qualification requirements as of the end of each month of the quarter.
