OMNIQ Expands Q Shield™ Safe City Platform Into Pennsylvania With Two Municipal Agreements
Two-year agreements support vehicle registration enforcement and establish a citation-based processing fee model in a new state
SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OMNIQ CORP. (OTCQB: OMQS) ("OMNIQ" or the "Company"), a provider of AI-based computer vision solutions, today announced that two Pennsylvania municipalities have selected Q Shield™, its Safe City platform, for vehicle registration enforcement. The agreements mark OMNIQ’s first deployments in Pennsylvania. One is with a borough in the northeast; the other is with a township in the southeast.
Q Shield™ identifies vehicles with suspended, revoked or expired registrations and, at one of the two sites, vehicles without required insurance coverage. It sends potential violations to authorized officers, who review the information and make the final enforcement decision. Officers can review activity remotely, extending coverage along busy roads without remaining stationed at a camera. The platform can also support other public safety alerts and investigations according to an agency’s configuration and authority.
The initial deployments will include a combined 18 cameras across nine intersections along corridors carrying approximately 80,000 vehicles per day, based on PennDOT traffic data. Both projects are expected to go live in 2026. OMNIQ is also in discussions with additional Pennsylvania municipalities.
Under the two-year agreements, OMNIQ will receive a processing fee associated with citations issued following agency review and authorization. The fee model creates a transaction-based recurring revenue opportunity tied to enforcement activity. Both agreements include a six-month evaluation period. Each department retains control over enforcement decisions according to its policies, staffing and applicable law.
