Appointment of Directors

On August 10, 2026, upon the recommendation of the Governance Committee of the board of directors (the “Board”) of Radian Group Inc. (the “Company”), the Board increased the size of the Board from eleven to twelve directors and appointed a new director, Barry C. McCarthy, to the Board.

Mr. McCarthy’s compensation will be consistent with the Company’s compensatory arrangements for non-employee directors. There is no arrangement or understanding between Mr. McCarthy and any other person pursuant to which he was appointed as director. Mr. McCarthy does not have a direct or indirect material interest in any transaction in which the Company is or will be a participant.

WAYNE, Pa., August 10, 2026 — Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) today announced that Barry C. McCarthy has been appointed to serve on its Board of Directors. Mr. McCarthy is President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Deluxe Corporation, where he has led the company’s transformation from a legacy check-printing business into a leading payments and data company.
