Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Remitly Global, Inc. (RELY), together with Remitly, Inc., amended its credit agreement on October 26, 2026, increasing the secured revolving credit facility from $550,000,000 to $1,000,000,000. The amendment also increased the letter of credit sub-facility from $200,000,000 to $400,000,000. The agreement is with participating financial institutions, with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. serving as issuing bank, administrative agent, and collateral agent. Remitly anticipates using proceeds primarily to support prefunding of customer flows in its global remittance business and also for general corporate purposes.

Filing Explained

The amendment sets the secured revolving facility at $1 billion, but reports no amount borrowed; the facility's size therefore does not establish $1 billion of new debt.

secured revolving credit facility financial
"increase the aggregate amount of the secured revolving credit facility"
A secured revolving credit facility is a line of borrowing that a company can draw, repay and redraw up to an agreed limit, similar to a business credit card, with the loan backed by specific assets as collateral. It matters to investors because it provides flexible short-term cash when needed and affects a company’s financial strength and risk: having a secured revolver can lower borrowing costs but gives lenders claims on pledged assets if the company can’t repay.
letter of credit sub-facility financial
"increase the letter of credit sub-facility"
A letter of credit sub-facility is a portion of a broader loan or credit agreement that lets a borrower obtain bank-issued letters of credit without drawing on cash loans. Think of it as a reserved slice of a company's credit line that a bank can use to guarantee payments to third parties; it matters to investors because letters of credit create contingent liabilities and can reduce the borrower’s remaining borrowing capacity and financial flexibility.
prefunding financial
"support prefunding of customer flows"
