Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Sigma Lithium Corporation (SGML) previewed selected preliminary, unaudited 3Q 2026 results: production was 7,293 tonnes, gross revenue was US$23 million and gross margin was 32%. CIF China cash cost was US$518/t; cash and equivalents were US$10 million at September 30, 2026. Revenue was 23% below the US$30 million reported in 3Q 2025.

Production was suspended during the quarter by local authorities. In early 4Q, State and Federal Courts granted protection of Sigma’s operating and mining licenses, and production restarted. Through October 30, 2026, output was 9,000 tonnes of high-grade concentrate; a further 21,000 tonnes of 3Q inventory was available for 4Q sale, including 15,000 tonnes of low-grade material in high-grade equivalent tonnes and 6,000 tonnes of intermediate products.

Sigma identified potential short-term liquidity of up to US$62 million after September 30: US$10 million in high-grade sales receivables, US$20 million in unsold low-grade inventory and US$32 million in remaining installments under a US$96 million offtake agreement. Timing and value depend on sales and prevailing lithium prices. On October 23, 2026, Sigma extended debt maturity under its agreement with Synergy Capital to June 2027 from December 2026. FY26 AISC guidance was reduced 6% to US$668/t from US$710/t; FY27 guidance of US$620/t remained on track. Full results are expected November 11, 2026; the preview remains subject to quarter-end closing.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

During the quarter, US$19 million in cash inflows were more than offset by US$26 million in operating costs and capital spending.

This Form 6-K furnishes interim material information; at September 30, 2026, Sigma reported US$125 million in total net debt, including US$97 million of principal and interest under Synergy secured debt, whose maturity was extended from December 2026 to June 2027.

The company says proceedings remain before the Brazilian judiciary while it pursues remedies, although state and federal courts granted protection of its operating and mining licenses and production restarted.

During the quarter, US$19 million of cash inflows, including prepaid high-grade sales installments, were more than offset by US$26 million of operating costs and capex.

CIF China cash cost financial
"CIF China cash cost was US$518/t"
CIF China cash cost is the per‑unit out‑of‑pocket price of a commodity or product after adding the cost of getting it shipped and insured to a Chinese port (CIF = cost, insurance, freight). Think of it as the final grocery bill for delivering a bulk item to China: it shows what an importer actually pays in cash, excluding non‑cash items like depreciation. Investors use it to compare import competitiveness, estimate margins for producers or traders, and gauge price pressure in Chinese demand centers.
All-In Sustaining Cost financial
"All-In Sustaining Cost guidance of US$620/t"
All-in sustaining cost (AISC) is a per-unit measure that shows the full, ongoing cost to produce a commodity, typically an ounce of metal, including direct mining costs, sustaining capital (ongoing equipment and mine upkeep), royalties, and general overhead. For investors it matters because AISC reveals the durable earning power and true profit margin of a producer—like calculating the total monthly cost to own and operate a car to judge whether selling rides is profitable over time.
offtake agreement financial
"remaining installments under the US$96 million offtake agreement"
A contract in which a buyer commits to purchase a set portion or percentage of a producer’s future output—such as minerals, energy, agricultural goods, or manufactured products—often over a multi‑year period. It matters to investors because it creates predictable sales and cash flow, reduces the risk of unsold inventory, and can make projects easier to finance; think of it like pre‑selling future harvests or securing long‑term customers before production begins.
high-grade equivalent tonnes technical
"15,000 tonnes of low-grade material in high-grade equivalent tonnes"
