Here are the 10-Q quarterly reports from Shoe Station Group, Inc. (SHOE) in our archive since June 2025, newest first, and each one links through to the document itself with the summary and the scores our analysis gives it.
A 10-Q covers the quarterly report filed between annual reports, so if you follow SHOE and want that one kind of document rather than the whole filing history, this is the page to keep. The company's other filings, of every form, are on the full SHOE filings page.
Shoe Station Group, Inc. (SHOE) reported weaker results for the quarter ended August 1, 2026, as a more promotional footwear environment and misaligned assortments pressured sales and margins. Net sales fell to $284.3 million, down 7.2% year over year, driven by a 7.1% decline in comparable store net sales and a 4% drop in units sold.
Gross margin declined to 31.9% from 38.8%, mainly due to heavier promotions and liquidation of aged and excess inventory, plus the absence of prior-year tariff-related pricing benefits. Quarterly net income dropped to $6.3 million (diluted EPS $0.23) from $19.2 million ($0.70). Year-to-date net income was only $0.6 million versus $28.6 million, reflecting $13.6 million of CEO transition and strategic review charges booked in the first quarter.
Despite profit pressure, the company remains financially strong, with $131.6 million in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities, no debt and $99.0 million of unused credit capacity. Merchandise inventories were reduced 5.0% year over year to $426.6 million, and operating cash flow improved sharply to $34.1 million year-to-date. SHOE operated 422 stores, is shifting to a permanent two-banner model, plans additional closures of underperforming stores, and expects new store growth, primarily under the Shoe Station banner, to resume in fiscal 2027.
