Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Net debt INR 45,331 million Quarter ended September 2026; INR 28,736 million in quarter ended September 2025
Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was INR 3,131 Million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
non-IFRS measure financial
"Adjusted EBITDA is referred to as “non-IFRS” measure"
A non-IFRS measure is a financial number a company reports that is calculated outside standard accounting rules; it adjusts or removes items such as one-time costs, taxes, or accounting entries to highlight what management sees as the business’s recurring performance. Investors use these figures like a tailored snapshot to understand underlying trends — similar to a chef sharing a simplified recipe — but because they are not standardized, they require careful comparison and scrutiny.
Net debt financial
"Less: Deposits lien marked towards loan | Net debt"
Net debt is the total amount a company owes after subtracting the cash and assets it has that can be used to pay off that debt. It shows how much debt is truly a burden, helping investors understand if a company is financially healthy or heavily borrowed. Think of it like calculating how much money you owe after using your savings to pay part of it.
Data Center Interconnect (DCI) technical
"branch-to-data-centre connectivity and Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) links"
Data center interconnect (DCI) are the high-capacity network links and equipment that tie separate data centers together so they function like one larger facility, moving large volumes of information quickly and reliably. Think of it as wide, fast highways between warehouses that let goods be shifted instantly; for investors it matters because DCI capacity and reliability influence cloud and hosting revenue, operating costs, outage risk and the need for ongoing infrastructure spending.

MANAGEMENT COMMENTARY

Mr. Raju Vegesna, Chairman, said, “India's digital transformation is entering a phase of execution at scale. What was once a digital transformation agenda has now become a business imperative, with organizations investing in technology to improve productivity, resilience, and customer experience.

The country continues to benefit from a unique combination of progressive policy initiatives, expanding digital infrastructure, and a deep pool of technology talent. As AI adoption gathers pace, the need for secure, scalable, and interconnected digital infrastructure will become even more critical. This presents a significant opportunity for India to strengthen its position as a global technology and innovation hub.

At Sify, we continue to align our investments with these long-term trends. Our integrated portfolio of Data Centers, Networks, and Digital Services enables us to support customers as they modernize their technology environments and prepare for an AI-enabled future.

India is no longer preparing for the digital future—it is actively shaping it.  Sify remains committed to building the infrastructure and capabilities that will help power this next chapter of growth.”

Mr. M P Vijay Kumar, ED & Group CFO, said, “We continue to strengthen our businesses through sustained investments in infrastructure, technology platforms and people, aligned with the evolving needs of our customers and the long-term opportunities in India's digital economy.

Our investment priorities remain focused on expanding our Data Center capacity, modernizing our network infrastructure, enhancing our cloud interconnect capabilities and strengthening the tools and platforms that support operational efficiency and customer delivery. Equally, we continue to invest in developing our people, building the skills and capabilities required to support emerging technologies and deliver consistent outcomes across our businesses.

These investments are being pursued alongside a continued emphasis on cost competitiveness, resource optimization and cash flow management. While capacity expansion and capability building have implications for depreciation, interest and manpower costs, we remain focused on ensuring that capital allocation is supported by sound financial planning, prudent risk management and long-term business objectives.

Non-IFRS Measures

This press release contains a financial measure not prepared in accordance with IFRS. In particular, adjusted EBITDA is referred to as “non-IFRS” measure. The non-IFRS financial measure we use may be calculated differently from, and therefore may not be comparable to, similarly titled measures used by other companies - refer to the reconciliation provided in the table labelled Financial Highlights for more information. In addition, these non-IFRS measures should not be considered in isolation as a substitute for, or as superior to, financial measures calculated in accordance with IFRS, and our financial results calculated in accordance with IFRS and reconciliation to those financial statements should be carefully evaluated.
