How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

The stated more than eight hundred fifty million dollars of available capital includes anticipated borrowing capacity at affiliates and remains subject to borrowing-base limits.

This November 3 Form 8-K furnishes SLRC’s third-quarter results release and reports approximately $264.0 million of unfunded commitments as of September 30, 2026.

That amount excludes $97.7 million of commitments to SLR-CS, SLR-BC, SLR-HC ABL, SLR-EF and SSLP, over which SLRC has discretion to fund.

Management described more than $850 million of capital as available to deploy, but the release says this includes anticipated borrowing capacity at SSLP and specialty-finance portfolio companies and is subject to borrowing-base limits.

At September 30, 2026, SLRC reported $484 million of unsecured notes outstanding, including $75 million maturing in December 2026, $135 million in January 2027 and $50 million in March 2027.

Net investment income financial
"net investment income (“NII”) of $17.8 million"
Net investment income is the money an investor or fund actually keeps from its investments after subtracting the costs of running those investments (like management fees, interest, and losses). Think of it as your paycheck from owning assets: gross returns minus the bills needed to earn them. Investors watch it because it shows how profitable the investment activities are, influences dividend payouts and cash available for growth, and helps compare true performance across funds or companies.
Net asset value financial
"net asset value (“NAV”) was $17.83 per share"
Net asset value is the total value of an investment fund's assets minus any liabilities, divided by the number of shares or units outstanding. It represents the per-share worth of the fund, similar to how the value of a house is determined by its total worth after debts are subtracted. Investors use it to gauge the true value of their holdings and to compare different investment options.
Non-accrual financial
"two investments on non-accrual"
A non-accrual loan or asset is one for which a lender has stopped counting expected interest as income because the borrower is very late on payments or in serious financial trouble. For investors, non-accruals signal that future cash from interest is uncertain and that the lender may need to write down the loan’s value or set aside extra reserves, similar to a landlord who stops recording rent when a tenant stops paying.
First lien senior secured loans financial
"96.4% was held in first lien senior secured loans"
A first lien senior secured loan is a debt that is backed by specific collateral and has the highest priority claim on that collateral if a borrower defaults, like a first mortgage that gets paid before others. For investors this matters because it generally reduces the risk of loss compared with unsecured or lower‑priority debt, though that lower risk often comes with lower potential returns.
Net debt-to-equity ratio financial
"net debt-to-equity ratio was 1.10x"
Net debt-to-equity ratio compares a company’s net debt (total borrowings minus cash and liquid assets) to the money shareholders have invested (equity). It shows how much of the business is funded by borrowings versus owners’ capital; think of it like comparing your mortgage balance after savings to your home’s equity. Investors use it to gauge financial risk and flexibility — higher values mean more reliance on debt and greater sensitivity to interest costs or downturns.

SLR Investment Corp. Announces Quarter Ended September 30, 2026 Financial Results

Net Investment Income of $0.33 Per Share for Q3 2026;

Declared Quarterly Distribution of $0.31 Per Share

NEW YORK, Nov. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SLR Investment Corp. (NASDAQ: SLRC) (the “Company”, “SLRC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) today reported net investment income (“NII”) of $17.8 million, or $0.33 per share, for the third quarter of 2026. On November 3, 2026, the Board declared a quarterly distribution of $0.31 per share payable on December 28, 2026, to holders of record as of December 14, 2026.

As of September 30, 2026, net asset value (“NAV”) was $17.83 per share, compared to $18.00 per share at June 30, 2026.

“We believe our diversified specialty finance portfolio is well suited for the current ‘higher-for-longer’ interest rate environment. It’s comprised of first lien loans predominantly secured by liquid working capital assets governed by borrowing bases that we actively manage,” said Michael Gross, Co-CEO of SLR Investment Corp. “Ninety-five percent of our record $575 million originations were in specialty finance, and we expect that to continue. Importantly, our net investment income of $0.33 per share was flat sequentially and covered our $0.31 quarterly distribution. With over $850 million of capital available to deploy, we are well positioned to support borrowers and sponsors that need liquidity.”

“At September 30th, our watchlist accounts for only 2% of the fair value of our portfolio, below our long-term average of 2.2%. We continue to have high conviction in the stability and credit quality of our portfolio,” said Bruce Spohler, Co-CEO of SLR Investment Corp. “Our software exposure remains under 1% of fair value, and only 2% of our gross income is derived from PIK interest resulting from amendments. Aside from our two investments on non-accrual, our portfolio companies continue to exhibit healthy fundamentals and perform at or above expectations.”
