Every 10-Q that Valhi, Inc. (VHI) has filed with the SEC in the last 24 months is listed below, newest first, and each one links through to the document itself with the summary and the scores our analysis gives it.
A 10-Q covers the quarterly report filed between annual reports, so if you follow VHI and want that one kind of document rather than the whole filing history, this is the page to keep. The company's other filings, of every form, are on the full VHI filings page.
Valhi, Inc. reported Q2 2026 revenues of $627.6 million, up from $571.5 million, and net income attributable to stockholders of $22.3 million ($.78 per share) versus $.9 million ($.03 per share) a year earlier. For the first six months, revenues were $1,191.8 million and net income attributable to stockholders was $24.3 million ($.85 per share).
The Chemicals segment drove the improvement, with Q2 net sales rising to $558.1 million and operating income increasing to $40.4 million from $10.3 million on 16% higher TiO2 volumes, cost-reduction initiatives and lower feedstock costs despite lower average selling prices. Component Products’ operating income increased to $8.9 million from $6.3 million on stronger security and marine demand. Real estate generated $18.4 million of Q2 operating income, supported by $16.8 million of infrastructure reimbursements and a $5.8 million gain on a building sale in the first half.
Operating cash flow for the first half was $13.0 million, while cash and restricted cash totaled $222.3 million and long‑term debt $586.7 million at June 30, 2026. Environmental remediation accruals were $17.2 million, and NLI’s reasonably possible environmental costs could reach $38 million. Management currently expects 2026 consolidated operating income to exceed 2025, led by stronger Chemicals and Component Products margins, while highlighting ongoing exposure to energy prices, currency movements, tax disputes and legacy environmental and lead‑pigment litigation.
Valhi, Inc. reported sharply lower profitability for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. Net sales rose to $560.1 million from $538.6 million, but net income attributable to Valhi stockholders fell to $2.0 million, or $0.07 per share, versus $0.59 a year earlier.
The Chemicals segment remained the largest business with net sales of $509.8 million, yet its operating income dropped to $14.5 million from $41.2 million as TiO₂ selling prices were 6% lower and gross margin compressed from 22% to 16%. Component Products improved operating income to $7.1 million on slightly higher sales, while Real Estate Management and Development operating income jumped to $11.3 million, helped by a $7.3 million commercial land sale and $5.4 million of tax-increment infrastructure reimbursement.
Cash used in operating activities improved to $46.1 million from $155.9 million, but cash and cash equivalents declined to $193.7 million and total debt increased to $625.3 million. Management expects 2026 consolidated operating income to exceed 2025, driven by cost reductions in Chemicals and ongoing real estate revenue recognition, while noting continued uncertainty in TiO₂ demand, energy costs and geopolitical conditions.
Valhi, Inc. reported a swing to a quarterly loss as markets softened and costs rose. For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, total revenues and other income were $524.1 million (down from $558.8 million), and the company posted a net loss of $21.9 million versus net income of $85.6 million a year ago. Net sales were $503.5 million, with Chemicals lower and Component Products higher.
Year-to-date, revenues were $1.635 billion and net income was $8.4 million. Operating cash flow was $(136.1) million, driven by working capital outflows and $56.5 million of environmental payments. Cash and restricted cash ended at $223.9 million, and total debt increased to $662.3 million, largely from Kronos’ additional €75 million 9.50% notes due 2029 and Global Revolver usage.
Segment trends were mixed: Chemicals recorded an operating loss in the quarter, while Component Products improved and Real Estate delivered solid income supported by $34.5 million in infrastructure reimbursement year-to-date. The environmental accrual decreased to $18.1 million after payments. The quarterly dividend remained $0.08 per share, and shares outstanding were 28,302,293 as of November 3, 2025.
