Power Purchase Agreement financial
"entered into a Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") with Nextera Energy Point Beach LLC"
A power purchase agreement (PPA) is a long-term contract in which a buyer agrees to purchase electricity from a generator at an agreed price and schedule, similar to a multi-year subscription for power or a long-term lease of an energy source. Investors care because PPAs provide predictable revenue and cash flow for the generator, reduce market-price exposure, and shift credit and performance risk to the buyer, all of which affect valuation, financing and perceived investment stability.
ancillary services technical
"capacity, energy, ancillary services and environmental attributes of each of Unit 1"
Ancillary services are the extra goods or services that support and complement a company’s main product or activity, like maintenance, testing, delivery, or billing. For investors they matter because these add-on offerings can create steady, often higher-margin revenue streams that diversify income and make a business less dependent on its core product — think of them like the accessories and service plans that keep a phone useful and also boost the seller’s profits.
environmental attributes technical
"capacity, energy, ancillary services and environmental attributes of each of Unit 1"
Environmental attributes are the measurable features of a product, operation or asset that describe its impact on the natural environment—things like greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, waste generation, land use, and recyclability. For investors they act like an ingredients label for environmental risk and opportunity: they help gauge potential regulatory costs, operational savings, consumer demand and long-term value, so companies with stronger attributes may face lower risk and attract more capital.
