renewable natural gas technical
Renewable natural gas is methane captured from organic waste—like landfills, farms, or wastewater—and cleaned to the same quality as conventional pipeline gas so it can be used for heating, electricity, or vehicle fuel. Investors care because it turns waste into a revenue-generating commodity, can qualify for carbon credits or government incentives, and can reduce a company's emissions profile, affecting long-term costs, regulatory risk, and market demand much like converting trash into sellable fuel.
rng technical
Renewable natural gas (RNG) is methane captured from organic waste sources—like landfills, farms, or wastewater—and cleaned to match the quality of conventional natural gas. For investors, RNG matters because it turns waste into a marketable, low-carbon fuel that can create new revenue streams, qualify for environmental credits, and reduce a company’s carbon footprint much like turning trash into a sellable product.
international sustainability and carbon certification regulatory
An international sustainability and carbon certification is an independent label from recognized organizations that verifies a company’s or product’s practices meet global standards for environmental impact and carbon emissions. For investors it acts like an energy‑efficiency sticker on an appliance—showing lower regulatory and reputation risk, potential cost savings, and better access to buyers and sustainable capital, which can affect long‑term value and growth prospects.
iscc regulatory
ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a global certification system that verifies sustainable sourcing, greenhouse gas accounting, and traceability across supply chains for biomass, biofuels and circular materials. For investors, ISCC acts like a trusted label—similar to a food safety or organic stamp—that reduces the risk a company’s sustainability claims are misleading, helps maintain market access and regulatory compliance, and can influence reputation, demand and long-term value.
mass balance chain-of-custody regulatory
A mass balance chain-of-custody is a supply-chain method that tracks how much certified or special material (for example, recycled or sustainably produced content) is represented in finished products when physical streams are mixed. It works like keeping a running inventory: certificates or weights are tallied and allocated proportionally rather than following each physical piece. Investors care because it affects product claims, regulatory compliance and reputational or financial risk — it helps verify sustainability commitments and estimate exposure to supply constraints.
compliance markets regulatory
Markets where companies must buy, sell or hold government-issued permits or credits to meet legal environmental limits — for example permits to emit greenhouse gases or certificates proving renewable energy use. These are important to investors because they create predictable costs or potential revenue from trading permits, affect a company’s profit margin and regulatory risk, and can turn into tradable assets like a license or quota that gains or loses value. Think of a permit as a required ticket to operate that can also be traded.

Four certified projects support more than 4.2 million MMBtu annually and enable access to international markets

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Neogenyx Fuels, a premier developer, owner, and operator of advanced fuel solutions, today announced the successful delivery of renewable natural gas (RNG) from one of its facilities into the European compliance markets using International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) certified RNG. The transaction was enabled by the facility’s certifications, which became effective in January 2026. The certified volumes are tracked and verified under an ISCC mass balance chain-of-custody framework, ensuring compliance with EU sustainability and traceability requirements.

“This announcement marks another first for our company, having delivered RNG from a plant at one of Republic Services’ landfills into the European markets,” said Michael Bakas, CEO of Neogenyx Fuels. “Advanced biofuels are poised to become the next major domestic export engine, catalyzing unprecedented investment in rural communities while creating tremendous job growth and this transaction showcases just that.”

ISCC-certified RNG projects within Neogenyx Fuels’ portfolio have the capability to produce more than 4.2 million MMBtu of renewable natural gas annually, strengthening its ability to supply certified low‑carbon fuels to both domestic and international markets. As this market evolves, Neogenyx intends to certify more of its RNG facilities.

“Neogenyx Fuels and Republic Services are expanding our portfolio of renewable natural gas facilities, creating an opportunity to export low-carbon fuels to customers around the globe,” said Tim Oudman, Senior Vice President of Sustainability Innovation at Republic Services.

ISCC certification is a globally recognized sustainability standard that enables RNG producers to access international compliance markets while demonstrating adherence to rigorous environmental, traceability, and governance requirements. For Neogenyx Fuels, certification across multiple operating projects supports commercial execution, expands market optionality, and reinforces credibility with regulators, buyers, and investors.

U.S. Energy®, a U.S. Venture company, supported the delivery of RNG produced at the facility into the ISCC market as an ISCC‑certified trader. Together, Neogenyx Fuels and U.S. Energy have established a verified channel connecting U.S.-based ISCC-certified RNG with growing European demand.

“With ISCC certification, we’re able to expand how and where renewable natural gas can be used,” said Allison Gladstone, Director of Business Development at U.S. Energy. “Opportunities like this allow us to connect U.S.-based supply with emerging demand in Europe, while continuing to build more flexible pathways for lower-carbon fuels.”

The successful execution of this transaction underscores Neogenyx Fuels’ commitment to building scalable, compliant, and globally relevant RNG infrastructure and demonstrates the company’s ability to translate certification into real‑world commercial outcomes.
