series d financing financial
Series D financing is a later-stage private funding round that a company raises after initial rounds (A, B, C) to fuel growth, extend its runway, or prepare for a public offering or sale. For investors, it signals a more mature business with clearer prospects but also a different risk–return profile: valuations are usually higher, new money can change ownership stakes, and the round helps reveal whether the company is scaling successfully or still needs capital to reach profitability.
organic revenue cagr financial
Compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of a company’s revenue after removing effects from acquisitions, divestitures and currency swings—so it measures the steady, underlying sales growth from the company’s existing operations. It matters to investors because it isolates organic business performance, like measuring a car’s speed based on its engine alone rather than including tow trucks or downhill boosts, and helps compare growth over multiple years on a consistent basis.
net promoter score technical
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a single-number measure of customer loyalty based on asking customers how likely they are to recommend a company’s product or service to others; responses are grouped and converted to a score from -100 to +100. It matters to investors because a high NPS suggests strong customer satisfaction, lower churn and more organic growth through word-of-mouth—like a reputation score that can predict future sales and brand resilience.
interval funds financial
Interval funds are pooled investment vehicles that hold a mix of assets, often including less-easily-sold investments, and allow investors to sell shares back to the fund only during set short windows (for example quarterly). Think of them like a club that opens its exit door occasionally: they offer access to investments that can boost returns or income but come with limited liquidity, so they matter to investors who can tolerate being locked in for longer periods.

CAIS delivers a 3-year organic revenue CAGR of 37%, with the biggest chapter still ahead, says founder and CEO Matt Brown

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CAIS, the leading alternative investment platform for independent financial advisors, today announced a $170 million Series D financing with lead participant Vista Equity Partners, and additional investment from AllianceBernstein L.P. (NYSE: AB), funds managed by Blue Owl Capital (NYSE: OWL), Carlyle (NYSE: CG), Fortress Investment Group, Golub Capital, Lord Abbett, and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). The investment round values CAIS at over $2 billion, bringing total capital raised to nearly $600 million, and coincides with a 3-year organic revenue CAGR of 37% that reflects the scale and trust CAIS has built across the independent wealth channel.

"When strategic investors of this caliber back CAIS, it reflects their conviction in both the market opportunity and category leadership,” said Matt Brown, Founder and CEO of CAIS. “Together with the independent wealth community, we have built the platform technology and client service model this industry deserves, and our biggest chapter is still ahead,” Brown added.

David Breach, President of Vista Equity Partners, will join the CAIS Board of Directors. Representatives from Blue Owl, Lord Abbett, Fortress, and Carlyle will serve as Board observers.
