4 terms
first-party data technical
"expanding innovative customer engagement capabilities powered by first-party data"
First-party data is information a company collects directly from its own customers and users through interactions like purchases, website visits, app usage, subscriptions, or surveys. For investors it matters because this data is exclusive, typically more accurate and cost-effective than third-party sources, and helps the company target customers, predict sales, improve products, and comply with privacy rules — like a store’s loyalty list versus a bought mailing list.
regulatory approvals regulatory
"expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals"
Regulatory approvals are official permissions from government agencies that a company needs before launching a new product, service, or business activity. They matter because without this approval, the company might not be allowed to operate legally or sell its products, similar to how a driver needs a license to legally drive a car.
customary closing conditions regulatory
"expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals"
"Customary closing conditions" are standard rules or checks that must be met before a business deal can be finalized, like making sure all paperwork is in order or that certain approvals are obtained. They matter because they help protect both parties, ensuring everything is in place and reducing the risk of surprises or problems after the deal is closed.
senior advisor financial
"Hervé Sedky to Serve as Senior Advisor Upon Close"
A senior advisor is an experienced executive or specialist who provides strategic guidance to a company's leadership without running daily operations. Investors care because such advisors bring credibility, industry knowledge and connections that can speed decision-making, open partnerships or reduce execution risk—like hiring a trusted coach to help a team perform better—which can influence future growth prospects and market confidence.

"Leading Emerald and building a portfolio of market-leading brands alongside an extraordinary team has been one of the defining privileges of my career," said Mr. Sedky. "This combination creates a stronger platform – one defined by greater scale, deep expertise, expanded capabilities, and a shared commitment to delivering meaningful value for our customers, exhibitors, and partners. I look forward to working with Paul and the rest of the leadership team as we build on that foundation and guide both companies into this next chapter."
