Everforth ECS will continue to operate and transition the current SUNet enterprise while developing SUNet 2.0 for secure AI/ML development and mission partner collaboration

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Everforth™ ECS®, a trusted mission operations partner for defense, intelligence, and federal civilian agencies, and the Federal Government Segment of Everforth, Inc. (NYSE: EFOR), today announced it has secured a three-year, sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract expansion with a ceiling of $148 million to continue supporting the Chief Digital and AI Office’s (CDAO) Secure Unclassified Network (SUNet), building on more than a decade of support for the program. Additionally, Everforth ECS was selected under a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) to research and prototype the next generation of capabilities for SUNet 2.0, advancing CDAO modernization priorities.

Under the expanded SUNet contract, Everforth ECS will continue to manage and maintain the operational environment while supporting the transition of mission capabilities to future SUNet architecture.

The contract expansion follows Everforth ECS’ selection to prototype SUNet 2.0 on behalf of the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering and the CDAO. SUNet 2.0 is designed to provide Department of War (DoW) organizations and mission partners with a secure digital environment to collaborate and rapidly develop, test, and validate emerging AI/ML capabilities.

Together, the awards position Everforth ECS to sustain today’s mission while helping shape the next generation of SUNet capabilities. Everforth ECS brings more than a decade of operational experience supporting SUNet, giving the team a deep understanding of its users, mission requirements, and operating environment as the Government explores the next phase of the platform.

“These awards represent the next chapter of a mission we have supported alongside the Department of War and its mission partners for more than a decade,” said Donnie Scott, president of Everforth ECS. “While we continue to keep SUNet secure and responsive to the mission, we will also help transition to what comes next. By bringing our operational knowledge together with modern cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and AI capabilities, we can provide CDAO and its mission partners a faster, more secure way to experiment, collaborate, and turn emerging technologies into operational capability.”

Everforth ECS supports SUNet across its full lifecycle for the DoW, sustaining the current enterprise for existing mission users while developing SUNet 2.0, a secure sandbox for rapid AI/ML experimentation. The modernization effort will explore modern hybrid cloud, zero trust controls, and modern data management capabilities designed to reduce the time required to onboard users and move new capabilities toward mission use.

“Our many years supporting SUNet have taught us our users’ challenges, what they're constrained by, and what actually moves their mission forward,” said Brian Orsi, CDAO account lead at Everforth ECS. “That experience is shaping every part of this modernization, with the goal of giving mission partners a faster, more secure way to test, integrate, and operationalize emerging capabilities.”

For the DoW, CDAO, and their mission partners, the result is a path to sustain what works today while building a faster, more secure, and more adaptable foundation for DoW AI, data, and mission collaboration in the future.

Key Terms

idiq regulatory
An IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) is a type of government procurement contract that sets terms and maximum limits for buying goods or services over a period without specifying exact delivery dates or quantities up front. For investors, an IDIQ signals a potential steady revenue stream and easier repeat business because it gives a company preferred access to future orders under agreed terms—think of it as a standing shopping account that can generate unpredictable but recurring sales.
commercial solutions opening regulatory
A commercial solutions opening is an announcement that a company is starting or expanding the real-world sale, distribution, or customer support of a product or service beyond testing or development stages. For investors it signals a shift toward generating ongoing revenue and scaling operations—like a bakery moving from recipe trials to opening its doors to customers—so it can affect near-term sales expectations, cost structure, and the company’s growth outlook.
zero trust technical
Zero trust is a security approach that assumes no one, whether inside or outside an organization, should be automatically trusted. Instead, every access request is carefully verified before being granted, much like checking ID at every door rather than trusting someone just because they are known. For investors, it emphasizes the importance of protecting digital assets and data from potential breaches, reducing overall risk.
