3 terms
monthly cash distribution financial
"declared a monthly cash distribution of $0.15 per share for March 2026"
A monthly cash distribution is a regular payment of money that an investment, fund, or partnership sends to its shareholders or owners each month, similar to receiving a monthly paycheck from an asset. It matters to investors because it provides predictable income and helps assess an investment’s cash flow and yield, making it easier to plan budgets, compare income-producing options, and judge sustainability of returns.
net income financial
"very pleased to announce net income for Q4 2025 was $0.53 per share"
Net income is the amount of money a company keeps after paying all its costs, interest, taxes and one-time charges — effectively the company’s profit “left over” at the end of a reporting period. Investors use it like a report card: it shows whether the business is generating real profit, influences earnings per share and dividend potential, and helps determine valuation and long-term financial health.
View in glossary
closed-end management investment company financial
"an SEC registered closed-end management investment company, today announced"
A closed-end management investment company is a pooled investment fund that raises a fixed amount of capital by issuing a set number of shares and then lists those shares for trading on an exchange; investors buy and sell shares on the market rather than redeeming them back to the fund. Think of it like a store with a fixed number of bottles on the shelf: the market price can be higher or lower than the underlying value of the assets, which matters to investors because it affects returns, liquidity and income characteristics independent of the fund’s actual holdings.
