BDTX declined 35.77% after the May 22 conference-participation announcement. That precedent shows varied responses to event notices; the active S-3 permits offerings up to $500,000,000, making event follow-through the key item to watch.

3 terms
oncogenic mutations medical
"therapies that target families of oncogenic mutations in patients with cancer"
Oncogenic mutations are changes in a cell's DNA that push the cell to grow and divide uncontrollably, transforming a normal cell toward cancer. They matter to investors because pinpointing which mutations cause disease guides the creation of targeted drugs, diagnostics and tests — similar to finding the exact broken part in a machine so a company can build a precise repair with clear market and regulatory value.
brain-penetrant medical
"a potential best-in-class brain-penetrant epidermal growth factor receptor"
A brain-penetrant drug or molecule can cross the brain’s natural security gate (the blood–brain barrier) to reach and act on cells inside the brain. For investors, that matters because treatments that reach the brain can address disorders like Alzheimer’s, depression, or brain cancer—opening large markets—but they also carry higher technical risk, stricter safety testing and unique regulatory challenges compared with drugs that act elsewhere in the body.
egfr inhibitor medical
"epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor"
An epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor is a medicine that blocks a specific protein on some cancer cells that acts like a ‘on’ switch for growth; by turning that switch off, the drug can slow or stop tumor growth. Investors care because these drugs are often tied to clear clinical tests, targeted patient groups, patent-protected sales and regulatory decisions, so trial results, safety issues or approvals can sharply change a company’s value.

About Silevertinib

Silevertinib is an investigational oral, covalent, brain-penetrant fourth-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that has demonstrated best-in-class CNS activity, selectively targeting classical and more than 50 non-classical EGFR mutations in NSCLC. It is also designed to potently inhibit key EGFR alterations seen in GBM, including EGFRvIII, while avoiding the paradoxical EGFR activation reported with reversible TKIs. To date, over 200 patients with EGFRm NSCLC or EGFR-altered GBM have been treated with silevertinib.

In addition to the ongoing Phase 2 trial of silevertinib in patients with non-classical EGFRm NSCLC, the Company also initiated a randomized Phase 2 trial of silevertinib in patients with newly diagnosed EGFRvIII-positive GBM (NCT07326566) in May 2026.
