DuPont (NYSE: DD) announced winners of the second annual Tyvek® Sustainable Healthcare Packaging Awards on Oct 8, 2025 during the Medical Packaging Conference (Oct 6-8, 2025). The program honors healthcare packaging projects using Tyvek® that advance sustainability across design, operations and in-use stages.
2025 winners: Evercare (Endurance R50 film with up to 50% post-consumer recycled content), Amcor (ACT2100™: 25% stronger seals, 50% greater breathability) and B. Braun (tray redesign eliminating 64 metric tons plastic, saving 198 metric tons CO2e annually). Next application period expected May 2026.

By pairing Amcor's Sureform Ultra forming film with Tyvek® 1059B rollstock, the new sterile barrier system eliminates 64 metric tons of plastic and 4,400 pounds of paper annually. The change also lowers CO₂e emissions by 198 metric tons each year and makes packaging easier for hospitals to recycle—advancing B. Braun's global commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
