| Dec 04 | Drill results update | Positive | -0.9% | High-grade Homestake Silver drill intercepts expanding shallow gold trend. |

Recent positive drill and financing news often saw positive single-digit moves, though one strong drill update drew a modest negative reaction, suggesting generally constructive but sometimes uneven news sensitivity.
Over the last few months, Dolly Varden reported multiple high-grade drill results at Homestake Silver and a sizeable $30 million bought-deal financing to fund Kitsault Valley exploration. These updates frequently produced positive single-digit price moves, with one notable drill release on December 4, 2025 seeing a slight decline despite strong grades. Earlier in October, completion of a 56,131 m drill program also coincided with a solid gain. Today’s merger announcement follows a sequence of growth-oriented exploration and capital-raising steps.
Market Pulse Summary
This announcement combines Contango and Dolly Varden into a North American-focused precious metals producer-developer, anchored by the Manh Choh mine and high-grade projects like Kitsault Valley and Johnson Tract. With over US$100 million in cash, modest US$15 million debt, and a Johnson Tract NPV5% of US$615 million, the story centers on building scale and leveraging DSO strategies. Investors may watch court and shareholder approvals, execution of planned feasibility studies, and progress toward the targeted late-February/early-March 2026 closing.
