"members of the nearby Ejido community regarding their concerns"
A ejido is a form of communal land tenure common in some countries where land is held and managed collectively by a community rather than by individual private owners. For investors, ejidos matter because they affect who can legally use, develop, sell or lease land and natural resources on that property—similar to dealing with a group of co-owners rather than a single title holder—so projects involving land, agriculture, mining or real estate may face special legal, social and negotiation risks.
