AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) has named Brooke Trammell as Vice President, Transmission Strategy and Engagement. Trammell will oversee strategic planning, policy advocacy and strategic ventures to expand FirstEnergy's transmission portfolio. She will also lead FirstEnergy's engagement with PJM and manage its transmission strategic partnerships.  Trammell will report to Mark Mroczynski, FirstEnergy President, Transmission.

Trammell joins FirstEnergy after more than a decade at Xcel Energy. She most recently served as Regional Vice President of Regulatory & Pricing for Xcel's Southwestern Public Service Company. At Xcel, which serves more than 3.7 million customers across 8 states, she led the development of cross-jurisdictional regulatory strategies, advanced policy reforms to improve financial performance and reduce investment risk and secured approvals for large-scale, integrated infrastructure proposals. Trammell's background includes experience in rates, policy, state and federal regulatory affairs, and customer and community relations, and engagement across SPP, ERCOT and the West, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the electric industry's evolving dynamics and opportunities.

Earlier in her career, Trammell worked as a federal regulatory project manager and retail rates analyst with PNM Resources, Inc., now TXNM Energy.

Trammell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master of Arts in Economics with a focus in Public Utility Regulation from New Mexico State University and a Master of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University. She has also completed executive education in negotiation strategies at the University of St. Thomas.
