Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Fox Corporation (Nasdaq: FOXA, FOX) completed its acquisition of Roku, bringing the streaming platform into its media and technology business. Roku holders are entitled to $95.30 in cash and 0.9799 FOX Class A shares for each Roku Class A or Class B share owned immediately before closing. Roku shares will cease trading on Nasdaq on November 6, 2026.

FOX expects approximately $400 million in run-rate cost synergies, or ongoing cost savings, within two years after closing, potential additional revenue upside, and higher free cash flow per share by the second full year after closing. Roku will remain an open distribution platform. Anthony Wood will join FOX's board and serve as Co-Chair of the newly formed FOX Digital Platforms division alongside Paul Cheesbrough, its Co-Chair and CEO. The division includes Roku, Tubi, FOX One and Red Seat Ventures.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Key Terms

run-rate, free cash flow per share, merger agreement
3 terms
run-rate financial
"approximately $400 million of run-rate cost synergies within two years"
Run-rate is an estimate of a company’s future annual performance created by multiplying recent results (such as a month or quarter) to project a full year, like using current speed to guess how far you’ll travel in a year. Investors use it as a quick way to gauge growth, size and momentum and to compare firms, but it can be misleading if recent results include one-time events or seasonal swings, so it’s a rough, not definitive, forecast.
free cash flow per share financial
"accretive to free cash flow per share by the second full year"
Free cash flow per share measures how much cash a company generates from its business after paying for running costs and investments, divided by the number of shares outstanding. It tells investors how much real, spendable cash each share represents — like dividing a household’s leftover monthly cash among family members — and helps assess a company’s ability to pay dividends, buy back stock, or reinvest for growth.
merger agreement financial
"Under the terms of the merger agreement"
A merger agreement is a binding contract that lays out the exact terms for two companies to combine, including the price, what each side will deliver, and the conditions that must be met before the deal is completed. Investors care because it sets the timetable, payouts and risks — like a blueprint or prenup that shows whether the deal is likely to close, how ownership will change, and what could cancel or alter the payout they expect.

FOX Is Now One of the Leading Streaming Businesses in the U.S., Inclusive of Roku, Tubi and FOX One

Roku's Open Distribution Platform to Continue Serving More Than 100 Million Households Worldwide, with Access to Thousands of Apps and Channels Across the Streaming TV Ecosystem

NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fox Corporation (Nasdaq: FOXA, FOX) ("FOX" or the "Company") today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Roku, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROKU) ("Roku").

With this acquisition FOX has entered a new transformational era – creating an innovative scaled media and technology company with superior reach, engagement and monetization capabilities. The combination of FOX's premium live sports, news and local programming with Roku's open connected TV platform reaching across more than 100 million households creates new opportunities for the Company to serve its viewers, advertisers and partners.

This transaction accelerates FOX's digital strategy and expands FOX's business mix towards high-growth streaming and connected TV verticals, strengthening our long-term growth profile. The Company expects to achieve approximately $400 million of run-rate cost synergies within two years following the transaction close, with additional potential revenue upside, and anticipates that the transaction will be accretive to free cash flow per share by the second full year after closing.

Importantly, from an operating standpoint, Roku will continue to play its role as a leading open ecosystem for the broader streaming industry. A key element of Roku's ubiquity is the choice it offers viewers and the value it provides to content partners. Together, FOX and Roku will preserve and build on these strengths.

Lachlan K. Murdoch, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Fox Corporation, said:

"The closing of this acquisition advances the long-term strategy of FOX. Beginning today, our top priority for the combined company is to continue to relentlessly serve audiences and partners, while reinforcing the openness and choice that is the essence of the Roku platform. Our shared entrepreneurial passion and clear conviction toward building the future together with our new Roku colleagues gives us great confidence in the opportunities ahead of us."

Roku founder Anthony Wood will join the FOX board of directors. He will also serve as Co-Chair, FOX Digital Platforms, the newly formed division that includes Roku, Tubi, FOX One, Red Seat Ventures, and other digital products and services across the Company, alongside Paul Cheesbrough, who assumes the role of Co-Chair and CEO, FOX Digital Platforms.

Anthony Wood added:

"We started Roku more than two decades ago to give people a better way to watch TV, and that mission doesn't change today. What does change is our reach and resources. FOX has a deep respect for Roku's culture and wholly shares our commitment to staying open to every content partner. Our teams will keep building and innovating as they always have, now with the support and capabilities of FOX behind us. I'm proud of what Roku's employees have built, and I'm excited about what comes next."
