New portfolio builds on proven 4SG technology to deliver revolutionary insulating glass performance and durability.

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

H.B. Fuller (NYSE: FUL), the world’s largest pureplay adhesives company, today announced the launch of Kōfinity™, a new product portfolio platform built on the company's proven 4SG technology and created to advance innovation in insulating glass (IG) solutions while maintaining the durability and long-term performance customers have come to expect from 4SG.

Window seal failure is one of the leading causes of home and building owner complaints, resulting in fogging, condensation, and reduced thermal performance in IG units. Building on the global success of H.B. Fuller’s existing 4SG reactive thermoplastic spacer technology, the new Kōfinity portfolio reestablishes this technology under an elevated category of fusion bonded spacers while creating a platform for new cutting-edge IG innovations engineered for durability, energy-efficiency and long-term performance.

"Kōfinity represents the future growth and evolution of a technology that has helped transform the IG industry," said Mark Conway, global vice president of H.B. Fuller’s Building Adhesive Solutions (BAS) global business unit. "More than 100 million square meters of our 4SG technology have been used in installations worldwide since its original launch. It has a field-proven track record for exceptional reliability, with 99.9% of those installations still performing today.”

Unlike conventional window spacers that rely on mechanical or surface-level adhesion, fusion bonded spacers form a molecular bond with the glass during the IG manufacturing process. Applied with robotic precision, the spacer fuses directly to the glass and to the secondary silicone seal when applicable, forming a continuous barrier. This creates an ultra-tight bond designed to eliminate common IG failure points and achieve superior thermal performance.

The new Kōfinity platform is the latest example of H.B. Fuller’s commitment to developing new technologies. As the platform grows, H.B. Fuller will expand the Kōfinity portfolio with multiple new products designed to address evolving customer needs and performance requirements.

Conway added, “As demand continues to grow for high-performance, energy-efficient building products, the Kōfinity product line will provide manufacturers with operational efficiencies while offering architects, window dealers, and homeowners innovative solutions designed to deliver lasting durability, reliable thermal performance, and clear window satisfaction for decades to come. Advanced technologies like Kōfinity allow H.B. Fuller to solve real world challenges for our customers, and are core to our business strategy.”

Key Terms

insulating glass technical
A sealed unit made of two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed at the edges to create an air- or gas-filled cavity that reduces heat transfer and noise; also called an insulated glass unit (IGU). It matters to investors because insulating glass is a core building-material product whose energy-efficiency, durability, and manufacturing cost affect construction firms, window makers, and companies in the building-supply sector—think of it as a thermos for windows.
fusion bonded spacers technical
A fusion bonded spacer is a small, molded part coated with fusion-bonded epoxy that keeps pipes, cables, or structural members correctly spaced and protected during installation and operation. Think of it like a durable, glued-on bump or washer that prevents metal parts from rubbing, maintains insulation gaps, and protects against corrosion and electrical leakage. Investors care because these components affect the longevity, safety, installation cost, and regulatory compliance of infrastructure and industrial projects, which in turn influence maintenance spending and asset value.
