Key Terms

ai-powered technical
"AI-powered" describes technology that uses artificial intelligence to perform tasks, make decisions, or analyze information automatically. It’s similar to having a highly skilled assistant that can learn from data, recognize patterns, and improve over time, helping to make processes faster and more accurate. For investors, this means better insights and more efficient operations, potentially leading to smarter investment choices.
ai-enabled technical
AI-enabled describes a product, service, or process that uses artificial intelligence—software that learns from data and makes decisions or predictions—as a core feature rather than a minor add-on. For investors it matters because AI-enabled offerings can boost productivity, lower costs or unlock new revenue streams; like adding a smart autopilot to a routine task, they can change a company's growth potential and competitive edge while also bringing higher upfront investment needs and distinct regulatory or ethical risks.
f&i products financial
F&I products are the finance-and-insurance add-ons sold alongside a vehicle purchase, such as extended warranties, gap insurance, prepaid maintenance, credit life/ disability protection, and loan or lease financing arrangements. Think of them like optional add-on plans you buy with a phone or appliance that extend coverage or protect payments. For investors, F&I sales matter because they boost dealer margins, create recurring or high-margin revenue streams, and can smooth profits when new-vehicle sales are cyclical.
forward-looking statements regulatory
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.

OLDSMAR, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE: HZO), the world's largest recreational boat and yacht retailer, marina operator and superyacht services company, today announced a strategic partnership with NextBoat, Inc. (NYSE American: NXB), an AI-powered marine technology company. Through the partnership, MarineMax expects to broaden the distribution opportunities for its Newcoast Financial Services subsidiary by engaging with a larger network of boat buyers and transactions across the pre-owned marine marketplace.

NextBoat’s platform connects buyers, sellers and wholesale participants through AI-enabled valuation, marketing and transaction tools designed to improve marketplace efficiency. The relationship is expected to create an additional avenue for Newcoast to provide financing, insurance and related F&I products while expanding MarineMax’s participation in an even larger network of pre-owned marine transactions and marketplace participants.

“This partnership supports an important strategic objective for MarineMax to expand the reach of our higher-margin financing and insurance offerings,” said MarineMax Chief Executive Officer and President Brett McGill. “The scale and connectivity of the NextBoat platform provide a compelling opportunity to connect Newcoast's financing and insurance solutions with a broader set of marine transactions and customers. We believe the relationship complements our existing retail and financial services capabilities while creating additional ways to serve boat buyers throughout their ownership journey.”

Jason Ruegg, Founder and Executive Chairman of NextBoat, said, “MarineMax has built one of the industry’s most comprehensive boating enterprises, combining retail, services and financial solutions. We believe this partnership demonstrates how technology can help connect buyers, sellers and service providers across the marine marketplace while creating a more seamless experience for participants throughout the transaction process.”
