Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

InterDigital (IDCC) will demonstrate wireless AI research at the Brooklyn AI-Native 6G Summit, taking place November 3–5, 2026. Organized jointly by Nokia and NYU WIRELESS at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, the event focuses on networks in the age of AI.

With Arizona State University, InterDigital will demonstrate interoperability between AI models trained independently by different vendors. A second demonstration, with Keysight and UT Austin researchers, will compare conventional 5G video delivery with an alternative designed to sustain performance as signals weaken near a cell’s edge. Head of Wireless Research Doug Castor will join the “Wireless Research in the Age of AI” panel on November 5 at 4:00 pm.

"Joint Source and Channel Coding and Modulation (JSCM) for Channel State Information Reporting"
Channel state information is data about the current condition of a communications path—how signals are being affected by things like distance, obstacles, interference, or noise—so transmitters can adapt power, timing, or coding. Think of it as a weather report for a road: knowing whether the route is clear or congested lets drivers choose the best speed and lane. For investors, accurate channel state information matters because it directly influences product performance, network capacity, and operating efficiency, which can affect service quality, deployment costs, and revenue potential.

InterDigital to showcase pioneering AI innovation that could shape the 6G experience

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC), a mobile, video and AI technology research and development company, announced its participation in the 2026 Brooklyn AI-Native 6G Summit, taking place November 3 - 5.

Jointly organized by Nokia and NYU WIRELESS at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, the Brooklyn AI-Native Summit is an annual gathering of communications industry leaders contributing to the future of wireless technology. The theme of this year’s discussions is “Networks at the dawn of the AI Supercycle.”

At the show, InterDigital will present a solution to enable interoperability between AI models that are trained independently by different vendors. This research will be presented in a demo alongside Arizona State University titled, "From Conventional CSI to Interoperable AI-Native Latent Feedback: A Live 6G Prototype." The results show the potential for encoder and decoder models trained independently to work together and achieve performance close to that of models trained jointly.

InterDigital will also showcase a research solution that enhances cell edge user experiences. The demonstration of “Joint Source and Channel Coding and Modulation (JSCM) for Channel State Information Reporting”, will be presented alongside researchers from Keysight and UT Austin, and show a live video delivered using a conventional 5G pre-coder and a JSCM-based alternative. As the device moves toward the cell edge and encounters weaker signals that impact service and experience, JSCM is designed to replace abrupt “drops” and sustain performance under challenging conditions.

In addition to the demo showcase, InterDigital’s Head of Wireless Research Doug Castor will participate in an industry panel exploring “Wireless Research in the Age of AI”. The panel will take place on Thursday, November 5 at 4:00 pm, and also feature perspectives from UT Austin, Ericsson, DeepSig, and Marvell.
