Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) unveiled the full speaker lineup and program for Itron Inspire 2025, a customer-focused conference in Orlando, FL, Oct. 24-30, 2025. Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Urbint, a Miami-based software company, for $325 million. The purchase will be funded with cash on hand and the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2025. Urbint provides AI-powered operational resilience solutions aimed at protecting workers, public safety, assets, and underground infrastructure and helping restore power faster after major weather events. Itron said the acquisition complements its existing offerings for utilities and cities and will integrate Urbint’s team into Itron’s portfolio.

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) has announced a joint marketing agreement with Current Lighting Solutions to deliver an enhanced smart lighting solution for cities and utilities. The partnership combines Itron's CityEdge portfolio of management and control technologies with Current's LED fixtures and luminaries, including the Evolve® Roadway product line.

The integrated solution enables dynamic adjustment of lighting levels, remote asset monitoring, and streetlight fault detection. The system supports integration with additional sensors for air quality, traffic, and weather monitoring. Current's Evolve Roadway products deliver advanced glare control and optical precision, while Itron's controls help reduce light pollution and improve energy efficiency.

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) has expanded its partnership with the American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA) to modernize the electricity distribution network across five South Pacific islands. ASPA will implement Itron's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution to serve approximately 50,000 residents.

The deployment includes Gen5 CENTRON® II electric smart meters, Gen5 communication network, iPay integration for smart payments, and UtilityIQ® software suite. This modernization is particularly significant as American Samoa's electricity prices are 3.5 times higher than the U.S. average, and the territory must generate all its electricity locally.

The solution aims to improve operational efficiency, billing accuracy, and customer satisfaction while enabling real-time insights and flexible payment options in ASPA's challenging tropical environment.

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) has appointed Scott Drury, former CEO of Southern California Gas Company, to its board of directors. Drury brings over 35 years of experience in the electric and natural gas industry, with a proven track record of leadership and value creation.

During his tenure as CEO at Southern California Gas, Drury achieved significant milestones, including doubling the utility's net income and earning recognition for innovation and clean energy initiatives. Previously, he served as president of San Diego Gas & Electric, where he worked across various business segments for over three decades.

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) has partnered with Pacific Technologies to implement the first smart metering deployment in the Fiji Islands for the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF). The deployment, which began in May 2025, involves upgrading existing infrastructure with Itron mechanical meters equipped with Cyble communications modules.

The project aims to address WAF's significant challenge of non-revenue water loss, currently at 47% of production. The implementation includes Itron's Temetra cloud-based solution for data management, enabling drive-by meter reading and advanced analytics. The deployment is expected to complete in Q3 2025, supporting WAF's Water Sector Strategy 2050 goals for sustainable water management.

Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) has appointed Sheri Savage to its Board of Directors, effective August 11, 2025. Savage, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO at Ultra Clean Holdings (UCT), brings over 30 years of financial expertise to the position.
