photonic integrated circuits medical
Photonic integrated circuits are chips that use tiny optical components to generate, route and detect light instead of moving electrical signals, performing functions similar to electronic computer chips but with photons. They matter to investors because they can enable much faster data transfer and lower power use in telecommunications, data centers and sensing, creating new markets and potential cost advantages — but they also require specialized manufacturing and carry technology and supply risks.
mzm technical
MZM (Money Zero Maturity) is a measure of the money supply that captures funds available for immediate spending, including cash, checking accounts, and the most liquid savings and money-market balances. Investors watch MZM because shifts in this pool signal how easily money is circulating—rising MZM can suggest more liquidity and potential inflation or asset-price pressure, while falling MZM can indicate tightening that affects interest rates and valuations.
pam-4 technical
A lab-made antibody that binds a specific protein often found on certain tumors, especially pancreatic cancer, used both to help detect cancer and to deliver imaging agents or treatments directly to tumor cells. For investors, PAM4 matters because success or failure in tests and trials using this antibody can change how accurately a disease is diagnosed, how targeted a therapy can be, and therefore a company's clinical prospects, regulatory chances, and potential market value.
serdes technical
SerDes (short for serializer/deserializer) is an electronic function that converts parallel streams of data into a single fast serial stream and then converts it back, like packing many lanes of traffic into one high-speed highway and unpacking them at the other end. Investors care because SerDes chips and blocks determine how quickly and efficiently devices, data centers and networks can move information; improvements or bottlenecks affect product performance, production costs, and demand across the semiconductor and communications supply chain.
llr technical
Lender of last resort (LLR) is the central bank’s role in supplying emergency cash to banks or other financial institutions that cannot get funding from the market. It matters to investors because that backstop can stop runs, calm panic and prevent broader financial contagion — similar to a fire department arriving to contain a blaze — so news of LLR support both stabilizes prices and signals serious stress in the system.

SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS):

What: At OFC 2026, Keysight will demonstrate how it accelerates AI infrastructure development with end-to-end visibility and validation. From physics to packets, Keysight provides AI workload emulation for 1.6T scale-out and scale-up Ethernet using KAI Data Center Builder. This empowers engineers to design, validate, and optimize next-generation high-speed infrastructure with greater precision and scalability.

When: March 15-19, 2026

Where: Keysight booth #1300, South Hall
Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA

Info: Keysight at OFC, 2026

Join Keysight experts to explore how to validate, benchmark, and optimize AI infrastructure at 1.6T with the following demonstrations:

Enabling AI-Scale Readiness

  • Photonics IC Test: This demo will illustrate how to verify photonic integrated circuits at the wafer and die levels. Keysight’s portfolio of products will demonstrate how to characterize MRM, MZM, and PD beyond 170 GHz, test bias and heat-detuning and automate radio frequency and photonic testing.
  • Unified EOE Flow from Device to System: This demo highlights a unified electro-optical workflow that correlates electrical and optical measurements across the link. By aligning waveform analysis, eye metrics, and system-level performance, engineers can accelerate debug and reduce integration risk.
  • 224G Interconnect Validation (LPOs): Keysight will demonstrate how its solutions enable high-reliability interconnect validation for AI data centers, including testing 224G LPO/RTLR, validating linear interfaces, and emulating reference receivers.

Driving Optical and Datacom Breakthroughs

  • 448Gbps Optical Research: Keysight will demonstrate how its solutions enable 3.2T networks that are ready to support future AI applications with the precision and scale required. The demo will show how to generate 224 GBaud PAM-4 signals and testing of up to 120 GHz bandwidth.
  • Coherent Optical Tx Testing: Keysight will showcase coherent transmitter validation through Reference Receiver Measurements, including modulation analysis, optical spectrum characterization, and signal quality metrics critical for high-capacity AI networking.
  • 1.6T Optical Tx Validation: Keysight will illustrate a range of solutions designed to optimize next-generation AI data centers by reducing test complexity and maximizing throughput for 1.6T optical transmitter validation to ensure readiness for hyperscale AI deployments.

Transforming the AI Data Center

  • Enabling 1.6T and Ultra Ethernet with LLR and CBFC: Keysight will showcase Ultra Ethernet interoperability with LLR and CBFC, enabling deterministic 1.6T scale-up and scale-out AI networking. The platform validates high-density interconnects at line rate while supporting both 112G and 224G SerDes, accelerating deployment of next-generation AI fabrics.
  • KAI Data Center Builder: Keysight will showcase its KAI Data Center Builder and workload emulation solutions to enable co-optimization of infrastructure and workloads, benchmark performance at scale, and validate AI-driven data center architectures.
