Key Terms

fpga technical
A field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is a type of computer chip whose internal wiring can be changed after it is made, allowing engineers to program custom hardware functions without designing a new chip. For investors, FPGAs matter because that flexibility lets companies quickly adapt products to new software, standards, or customer needs—like a toolbox that can be rearranged to build different machines—so demand and pricing can shift with trends in data centers, telecommunications, AI, and specialized electronics.
sensor-over-ethernet technical
Sensor-over-Ethernet is a way of connecting physical sensors (temperature, motion, pressure, etc.) directly to standard Ethernet networks so their measurements travel over the same wired or wireless network used for computers. For investors it matters because this approach can cut installation and maintenance costs, speed rollouts, and enable real‑time remote monitoring and software updates—like swapping many separate phone lines for one broadband link—potentially improving margins and creating new service revenue.
ethernet technical
A wired networking technology that moves data between devices over cables, like a dedicated highway that carries information reliably and quickly across offices, factories, and data centers. Investors care because ethernet underpins the performance and cost of digital services and infrastructure—demand for faster, more reliable wired networks drives spending on hardware, installation and upgrades, which affects manufacturers, service providers and companies that rely on heavy data flow.

HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC), the low power programmable leader, today announced it has joined the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab ecosystem, the first ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited inspection lab for AI-driven physical systems. Announced at the NVIDIA GTC 2026, Lattice will engage with NVIDIA and other Halos ecosystem members to build Halos-certified Holoscan Sensor Bridge-based designs for physical AI and to help shape best practices as the industry evolves.

“Physical AI is rapidly moving from controlled environments into the real world, where safety, reliability, and trust are paramount,” said Raemin Wang, Vice President, Segment Marketing, Lattice Semiconductor. “Through this collaboration, Lattice looks forward to contributing our expertise in low power FPGAs and award-winning solution stacks to enable scalable, trusted physical AI systems across robotics, industrial automation, and autonomous applications.”

NVIDIA Halos is a comprehensive full‑stack safety system for physical AI that unifies safety elements across vehicle and robotics architectures and their underlying AI models. It combines hardware and software components, tools, models, and design principles to safeguard AI‑based, end‑to‑end AV and robotics stacks. NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge is a hardware-accelerated low-latency sensor-over-Ethernet technology built to enable scalable Physical AI systems.

Lattice brings proven expertise in flexible, low power FPGA solutions to the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge ecosystem, helping enable scalable, real world physical AI systems where safety, efficiency, determinism, and low latency must be engineered together at the edge.
